Focus on style and portability, not sound quality
As expected from a Bluetooth speaker with this visual, the clear priority here is style and convenience. The sound is surprisingly good (if you keep your expectations way down) and the tactility of rotating physical buttons is impossible to emulate or reproduce digitally. There is a 'tone' button that rotates from 'muffled and bold' sound (for listening jazz) through 'clear and thin" sound (great for news). Also in the front, a step-rotating selector function button for BT, FM, AM and Aux; a volume button and a radio dial. This speaker can also (via a not so straightforward method) become a BT transmitter (reversing its default function, that is a BT receiver). Not sure who would use such feature, but it is available anyway. The volume is inconsistent: in BT mode you have to crank up all the way up both volumes (speaker and phone), but in Radio mode the volume should be almost at minimum.I really admire how it gives vintage/classic vibes. Looks great in the kitchen. And it would have benefited GREATLY (both in terms of design and sound quality) should the enclosing box were made of real wood and not a plastic imitation.

Better and bigger than I thought!
Wow this radio/speaker is very well made and so cute. Perfect size. I LOVE it. It sounds really great and pairs with your phone in a snap. Seriously get this for anyone who loves old time looks. It's really cool to listen to old time radio shows with your phone through the radio. A+++

Great
Very cute and sounds great. Wish the volume could go up a little bit more, but I'm sure my neighbors wouldn't appreciate that lol

Love this!
I wanted that retro vibe and totally got what I was looking for with this! Holds charge for quite awhile. Have it on a shelf in my kitchen as we have it playing the radio quietly all day.Purchased a second one as a gift.Super cute. Great product!

Nothing to rave about.
I ordered this because its appearance is very very much like an Emerson vacuum tube radio, of the late 1940s, that I was given many years ago. If my recollection serves me correctly, that radio had about the same sound as this one and tuned as well or better than this one. That is not much to say in view of the progress in electronics in the subsequent 70 years! I am comparing the sound and tuning to that of a car radio that is 12 years old. The car radio came out first. So, if you are thinking of buying this for quality radio sound and tuning - don't.It linked to my computer easily, via blue tooth, and I tested it with some music. There is little danger that this radio will be heard much beyond the room it is playing in. That is a good feature if you are giving this radio to a young person in your household. It has a gross (not fine tune) adjustment for treble/base.Given what I have discussed, I think this device to be over-priced - unless you are looking for a radio with a retro look. I am keeping it on my shelf as a talking point, about the old time radio that was given to me when I was a kid.

Nice vintage-look Bluetooth speaker with AM/FM radio
I like vintage stuff from the 1940s and 1950s and this Bluetooth speaker caught my eye as something I could use while camping or rallying in my renovated 1948 Boles Aero trailer. The speaker arrived very well packaged. It comes with a USB to micro-USB cable (for charging), and Aux input cable (if you don't want to use Bluetooth), and a short set of comprehensive and well written instruction. The speaker is sort of midsize between the small vintage-look speakers you often find and the real deal (I've provided a side-by-side picture with a 1948 Motorola). It has a nice fabric front and the case, while not real wood or bakelite, is very nice. The knobs are a bronze colored plastic that look nice (I wouldn't expect metal at this price point). In use, the Bluetooth receiver connected to my phone easily once I set the speaker to RX (receive) mode via a small switch on the back. It also will transmit AM/FM radio or Aux inputs to another Bluetooth device (eg headset) if TX (transmit) mode is selected. I did not test the TX mode. NOTE: the speaker arrived set to TX so make sure you set the switch to RX if you want to use it as a Bluetooth speaker. As for the all important sound this speaker produces, it lacks bass which is common to Bluetooth speakers in this price range. Fortunately this can be somewhat adjusted via the typical music app that most people will be using, however this speaker is never going to produce powerful bass. One unusual thing I noticed was the change in tone as I increased or decreased the volume. The unit speaker does have a Tone adjustment knob on the front and I was able to use it to compensate for this change in Tone as I adjusted the volume. If you plan to adjust the speaker volume frequently then this present an annoyance. The documentation provided with the speaker said it will fully charge in 3-4 hours. It has a 1800 mAh battery so it should provide a reasonable amount of playing time.Overall I like this speaker and look forward to using it while camping in my vintage trailer.
