Great book for required music class in college!
I am learning so much in this book in my college class on aural skills. This book is easy to understand and I love that amazon.com offers it in used form as a rental. I'll be returning it at the end of the semester, and will have only spent about one-fifth of the price of a new book. I am a music major and this book is great at explaining the basic concepts for aural skills!!!

Thorough resource
I purchased it for my daughter who is majoring in music, it is required for her Harmony course. According to her, there are sight singing examples that are real excerpts from music literature. It can be used for both fixed Do and movable Do systems.

Extra Cost & No InQuizitive
I bought this book for +$100, and Norton says it's worth $82. I thought it included InQuizitive but it DOES NOT!! I had to buy InQuizitive separate for another $50...

CD unprofessional.
The book is well written, however, the accompanying CD is unacceptably unprofessional: It is not a CD, but a CD-R--that someone burned on a PC--and that requires a computer to use.
