Timex Men's Q Chronograph 40mm Watch

Aside from micro brands, this is imo the best big brand retro style chronograph at the price I payed (130). The watch looks amazing from far and close up. It takes some small style cues from the rolex daytona, while also having a unique design overall. The 70s racing chronograph style is timeless. The case of the watch feels hefty and good quality. The color matched date at 4:30 is a very nice touch that makes the watch feel more premium. The registers are an off white giving the watch a slight patina look that fits the 70s design. The braclet is quick release which is great. The watch is 40mm but wears smaller which in general is a very good thing. The braclet is comfortable and can fit big and small wrists well. (Mine is 6.25 inch). The chronograph hand sweeps like a mechanical instead of a quartz. The watch uses an accurate and reliable Japanese movment from Seiko Epson. The case has a window to easily change the battery yourself.The only things I wish were better are stronger lume, a larger 3 o'clock crown and a more tactile feel to the 2 o'clock pusher. The crystal is acrylic so it can get scratched, but is easily fixable with poly watch, so this isn't an issue. Overall I love the watch very much and it will be a part of my collection for a very long time. If you want to put a 70s racing chrono on your wrist spending less than $200, this is your watch.

Timex's Q Chrono is a homerun in my book.The watch is really nicely made. The stainless steel metal is thick and dense and the watch has a nice heft with a high quality feel. Both the polished and brushed finishes are done beautifully. The band moves fluidly and does not feel stiff. The domed crystal is flawless.This is an understated and beautiful watch. The matte black dial, with chrome hour markers and hands, along with the light gold sub-dials, is a great color scheme. It looks rich and sophisticated. The face is a little busy, so the watch can be hard to read at a glance.The watch is the perfect size for me as a smaller guy - at 5'6" and 135 pounds. A lot of watches can look and feel overwhelming on my smaller wrist. This Timex is the perfect size. I had to remove a lot of links, but with the jeweler's tool I have it was quick and easy. Once sized I found the watch to be comfortable and lightweight.All in all... excellent.

This watch is well made, looks amazing. It's a good size, not too big or small. Feels like a more expensive watch than it is. I have but only one complaint.... The lume is pretty much useless. This is a timex issue in general, not just this model. I don't understand how addiesdive /steeldive and other inexpensive Chinese brands can put amazing superluminova c3 lume in their watches for less than 100usd on some models, but Timex can't. I would have gladly paid a few more dollars to have the utility of decent lume. My vostoks even have better lume. I bought the steel bracelet version and it was over 200usd. At that price point, decent lume should be standard. Otherwise the watch kicks total ass. If lume or night visibility is not particularly important, then this is a great value. I would have given 5 stars, but I am taking one away for the lume issues.

This has instantly become a favourite in my collection! The details on this Timex Q Chronograph is truly special. The strap is also made of high quality leather that should last a long time and age well.A true classic and an alternative to much more expensive watches out there!

Really happy with this watch, timex did an amazing job once again with their Q line. Fit and finish is amazing for a watch under 300. Had ZERO qc issues what so ever. Felt confident ordering it through Amazon. Black Friday pricing clinched the deal!Face is well done. I love the linen coloured sub-dials, they even look silver in some light. I seem to be checking the time often just to admire it!Love the case and mix of polished and brushed, captures the light beautifully. I have the Pepsi and gmt Q and this one didn’t disappoint! 40mm has more wrist presence. It fits well and isn’t too big or too small, right in the sweet spot.Leather strap is a little stiff at first but softens up nicely, going to have a nice patina as time goes on. And if you don’t like it it has quick release lugs.Has great vintage vibes with Rolex Daytona looks as well as maybe a little speedy. All this with a Q look. As for that big Q, not a deal breaker at all, looks fine!Would highly recommend if you like vintage style watches, Q line and a nice sophisticated watch.Pick it up, you will not be disappointed!!!
