This book is a great read for anybody that's going through this horrible disease, it gives you an insight of what most of us are going through or have been through. After reading David's journey it just reminded me of the journey I've been through and the ups & downs we all go through, and the tunnel were going through and the end light is a long long way . Thankyou David for a great read

This is a must read reflecting on one man's fight against penile cancer. Not a lot of people know about this cancer but David has put it in he's own words to make others aware of this deadly disease. Well done David.

I was looking on Amazon for a story of strength and inspiration because as someone with Autism it inspires me to never give up when things get tough. I came across this book and I was reading the summary and I knew right then and there I needed to read this story about this man Dave and his fight against penile cancer. I had never heard of someone going through that and well I had no idea the fight and bravery Dave had to put on. As I was reading this story I kept saying this man is literally going to hell and back and at some points he was on his last leg but Dave never gave up he kept going. If you need a reminder to keep going and never give up “Life isn’t always beautiful is your go to book. You’ll laugh you’ll cry and most of all you get to read about a real life hero Dave Nesser.

The book was so helpful in educating me on the medical diagnosis as well as the emotions couples go through. My husband is only 53, so he is similar to the author, and he did not fit in any of the typical age categories for penile cancer. He was undergoing surgery for a buried penis, and they found cancer. The book details reconstruction surgery and how long and complicated it can be. We are a happily married couple, and I am scared since very little information is readily available. Thank You for sharing your story, and yes it has helped me. My husband was only diagnosed 2 weeks ago, and I am looking for any and all information I can find.

It helped me immensely knowing their are other men out there all throughout the world who are going through the same thing!! Mine is not exactly like the author’s but I can relate to much of the trials and disappointments and victories through this unforgiving cancer!!

A devastating diagnosis for men, and story that needs to be told. This story of hope is extremely important in our times. Dave's story shows the truth about a man diagnosed with penile cancer. This book is raw, and expresses all the concerns which the least is, would his wife love him, but most of all; this is a story of hope and strength. I recommend this book to anyone facing such daunting news. Dave's strength is strong, but more than that; his wife's strength is stronger. I highly recommend this book to those facing cancer, and those standing besides someone they love facing cancer. Yes, this details a cancer battle, but more than that; this details a love story and the strength of an incredibly strong woman.
