This is tiny make no mistake. You will have to chop your onions before they fit into this device so whats the point. OK for anything less than inch in diameter but not for onions. Since I started using this my advice is DO NOT BUY and waste your money like I did. Possibly the most useless piece of kitchen equipment I have ever bought. Fiddly, awkward and ultimately ineffective. Better to put your onions in the freezer for 15 minutes before chopping with a knife. Better for reducing tears from the onions and tears from this machine

Small but useful
Smaller than you might think. This is more suited to chopping garlic cloves, olives and herbs. An onion larger than a pickled one needs chopping up first. However, it does mince garlic cloves very fine (though bits can get stuck).Also easy to clean.

Only three star, though it says mini thought it would have been bigger
Good design ,would be happier if a larger size was available.
