I was surprised at the weight and size of this car. I expected something lighter and smaller - what I got was a heavy duty high-performance machine. I bought two so I can race them, which works perfectly. All you do is turn on 1 car, then 1 controller. They pair up in a few seconds. Then, do the same with the other car and controller. No cross-talk is a great feature. The extra batteries are a must if you want to race for more than 15 minutes. The batteries take 4-5 hours to charge. The package comes with a USB and a plug-in wall charger, so you can at least charge 2 batteries at once. The seller told me they will be selling extra USB chargers, so I'm looking forward to that. The USB charger is nice because it blinks while charging and turns off when the battery is full charged. This car is a perfect hybrid of on/off road. It's just fast enough to be fun as a street racer and just powerful enough to do light/medium off-roading. Because of this balance of scenerios, don't expect it to be SUPER FAST or SUPER CLIMBER. It's the perfect "meet in the middle" car. I've yet to exceed the range - only have taken it about 40 yards. The reverse acts as a fast break as well as a powerful reverse. This thing nearly turns on a dime and response time is instant. It is super easy to handle and on flat pavement it takes little effort to keep it going in a straight line. I think the easy operation is my favorite thing about this car. It even has a trim feature on the bottom of the car in case you experience drifting. Honestly, I can't find anything wrong with this car. It's one of the most well built toys I've ever had. Super rugged hard plastic body. Even comes with a spare tire, even though I have no idea why I need it because the tires are not vulnerable to being "popped'. I'm going to spray paint one pink for my girlfriend then kick her ass on it.

I bought this for my daughter for Christmas to fill 3 requests of a RC car. 1) Blue...kinda hit that mark. 2) Can go off road...mostly hit that mark. 3) Fast...I'll talk more about that. It arrived very quickly. I decided to open it up and resist the urge to drive it around. The last time I drove one was about 25 years ago. I did however charge up the batteries for her. It came with three. This was another selling point for me. They took a long time to charge. It comes with 2 charge cables for 3 batteries and not the USB adapter to connect them to the wall. Not a problem, I have plenty around the house. They are NiCad batteries so I like the fact that they came with three. These unfortunately would not last the test of time with repeated charge and discharge cycles. Anyway, Christmas morning came around and I was very surprised that she was most excited about this gift. Hooray for me because so was I. We got the batteries in together (oh it comes with the controller batteries too) and fired her up. I showed her how to control it and off she went. When I told her to go max speed she said that she was going full speed. It does say that it's a 15 MPH+ car but maybe after driving around with my wife, 15+ seems really slow to me. It is a great speed for a kid but if you were a grownup you may be a little disappointed. So the first battery came and went then the next battery came and went and lastly the third. I believe that each battery lasted about 15-20 minutes. There was a lot of stop and go and it was all on pavement this is why I can't speak to the off-road capabilities. Now here's the downside. She used it that one day on Christmas then today we took it to the park to have a run at dirt, low cut grass and anything else that want's to stand in her way. To our dismay and unfortunately tears in her eyes, the buggy would not move. No forward, no reverse only steering left to right. This was only the second day. All the batteries were fully charged. With a multi-meter they were around 10V. To me, no big deal, I'll contact Amazon and see if I can return it. To my daughter her favorite toy that she's been wanting to play with because it was finally a nice day outside it was very sad for her. It took a while to calm her down and tell her that it could be the motor or the circuit board. Calming complete we get back home and call up Amazon. She loved the color, the middle of the road speed and the name Ghost. I loved the fact it came with 3 batteries. So fast forward to now. I ordered another one and I am sending back the non working one to hopefully re-gain some life and make another child happy one day. I do feel confident purchasing again because one is not a trend. The overall construction is great, 4-wheel drive forward and reverse and to me it just looks really cool. I hope that the next one will be problem free!

Great 4wd RC car. This is a great 4wd RC car period, not just for the money, although the price point makes this a fantastic deal (Remote and Car plus 3 batteries and 3 chargers for under $25!!!) . Battery life has been 15-20 minutes per charge, depending on how aggressive your driving style is. Open differentials front and rear provide realistic 4wd experience, does well on gravel trails, grass, roots, rocks, etc. Proportional throttle allows great control over vehicle speed but steering is not proportional, only full left or full right but this does not detract significantly from the driving experience, especially at this price point. This is the 3rd of these cars we have purchased, backyard racing is awesome, trail running at local parks, top speed is definitely faster than a walk so my kids wind up running to keep up, great exercise!!! It is not waterproof, water can enter the front of the housing where the steering gear is if you were to drive through a deep puddle, but water resistance is good, run in wet grass, leaves, and gravel with no issue. After 2 weeks of kids driving the first two with no broke parts, we bought the third, since then i have locked the rear differential in one car and the kids managed to break an axle, 52mm dogbone, which is easy to replace/ upgrade from the stock plastic piece to aluminum, will have to see how well the differential holds up with the aluminum axles. Overall a Great 4wd RC car, excellent value for money, durable construction and easy to source replacement/ upgrade parts.

My son loves this car. He has depleted the batteries several time running it around our yard. It came with 3 batteries so when one dies, we just pop in another. He could probably run it forever this way. By the time the 3rd battery died the first would have quite a bit of charge on it. He ran it over a jump it was a little too high and crack the front suspension mount. I reached out to the seller to buy a replacement bumper and he sent me a whole new car.
