Base Board Vent Under Cabinet Toe Kick Ducting Kit (Important! Please Check The Location of Venting Boot/Hole in Your Home to Make Sure You Need This Version)

I am remodeling my kitchen myself and after weeks of trying to figure out a solution for an under cabinet vent, I came across this and could not have been happier.

I installed a butlers pantry into our kitchen nook, which was a straightforward project. But there was an inconveniently located HVAC baseboard register behind one cabinet. Not wanting to seal-off that register, I shopped for possible solutions and discovered the 'Toe Ductor' -- designed exactly for my application. I carefully jig-sawed out a front grill hole in the center toe-kick of my base cabinet, then notched out the rear panel where it aligned with the wall register. Then I screwed on the front and rear sheetmetal ducts underneath the cabinet and clamped on the oval hose -- an easy project working with the cabinet upside down. The flex hose easily allowed for the gross misalignment between front and rear sheetmetal ducts. I took the extra step of added thick foam weather-stripping around the baseboard inlet duct where it butted against the wall to ensure a tighter seal. Screwed a white grill over the toe kick hole (not included) and slid the cabinet into position. Perfect! (Pro tip: Buy the external grill first so you can cut the hole to fit the grill dimensions.) While I'm obviously a big fan of this Toe Ductor kit, the price seems too high. However, the sheetmetal ducts are custom-fabricated for this application and the kit saved me a lot of time and energy trying to re-invent the wheel. It's really an elegant solution so bottom line -- I highly recommend Toe Ductor.

Ok product but overpriced. Because this company has the patent no other companies can produce it.

Fit perfectly in the stud cavity. Rather expensive for what you actually get but you’re paying for the design I guess. Manufacturer says to use a hose clamp to secure the boot but doesn’t supply one???? I suppose that would've cut into the profit margin.
