So far it works, has downsides.
The goodThe USB hub is just that, no dedicated keyboard and mouse plugs. Those dedicated things prevent the software on the PC communicating for macros and RGB. I much prefer this. The little remote removes any need for the dedicated ports with the key combos to change PCs.The four buttons on the top to do as the remote, switch directly to the PC you wish to. This is far better than some with a button to cycle though them. The price, is attractive. The badWhen I switch to a PC the monitors go black and flash on and off a bit before stabilizing. I think this is because it is not buffering or what ever, the PC knows there is no display there, so when you switch back to it, the PC just acts like you just plugged them up for the first time. I find this mildly annoying and hope it is not going to damage my monitors. They say "you only get what you pay for", I suspect the expensive ones don't have this issue. As long as it doesn't damage my monitors, it's an annoyance I'm willing to deal with to avoid spending a lot more money that I just can't afford. It has plugs on both sides, a taller box with all connectors on one side would be better, it makes it harder to place it and not have a cable mess. I plan to make a mount to put it on my monitor stand with the cables to each side and place the little remote to use.Overall, so far I am pleased enough. I hope it last a long time.

Not perfect, but works great for the cost
I'm using this to share 2 monitors and a mouse and keyboard with 2 PCs and one new M1 Macbook Pro. Both PCs have displayport out, the macbook has one hdmi port that is connected to a USB hub with displayport out to the KVM, and I use a USB to displayport cable from the macbook to KVM for the second monitor. And my monitors are older Dell ones with displayport inputs.I honestly didn't expect this to work, but surprisingly it does. It's not perfect, mostly related to the dual extended monitor setup I prefer. Switching from one computer to another and back again can cause issues with desktop icons and open windows shifting from one monitor to the other, but I did enough research to realize this is a limitation with KMV switches at this price. I believe one which resolves that issue would cost 3 to 5 times as much, so if I have to move things around a bit when switching to avoid that cost, it's fine with me. So I rated 5 not because it's perfect, but because that's the best you'll get at this price level and it's doing what I need it to.

Slow to switch. USB devices frequently become disconnected and then reconnect
I purchased this KVM to run between 3 tower CPU's and one laptop. One tower is DVI out only. the laptop is an HDMI, the second tower is DVI and Display port out and the last tower is HDMI and Display port out.I purchased 2 DVI to HDMI cables to hook up the towers.I am disappointed in that when switching between the systems, there is a slow response. 5 to 10 seconds for the screens to show up.When playing games it is very disruptive for the keyboard and mouse to stop functioning on a regular basis for a couple of seconds at a time. One cosmetic complaint is that the USB ports are on the front. I didn't realize what a mess it would make having the ports in the front.I will probably be looking to purchase a another KVM in the near future.

Exactly what I needed
I have been trying to find a switch that is able to switch between my work laptop and my gaming pc and this worked really well. One of my favorite features is the small remote that I can set on my desk while I am able to hide the rest of my cables under my desk. I was able to connect two monitors, my headset, my mouse, my keyboard, and my webcam with no issues. I even have more space if eventually I would like to use one of my gaming consoles. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase.

Forgets USB settings, not good for gaming
The KVM would work, but when switching between devices they would lose any speed/config settings. Like my gaming mouse and keyboards would reset and every time I switch I would have to reconfigure them. Inconvenient but not a huge deal, especially if you are just using a basic keyboard and mouse. Also there was sometimes some weirdness switching for the monitors. Like rather than giving the computers a hint that monitors were still attached every time you switched the OS thought you'd completely unplugged the monitors.

Does not work with two out of three systems.
This KVM does not remember USB or monitors. Every time there is a change to a different system, the USB ports all act like they have not been connected. This is causing a problem with two of the systems I have. The systems do not recognize the keyboard and mouse. The only way to correct this issue is to reboot the system. Only one of my three systems seems to work with this KVM. However, when I change from that system to another system and back, windows are moved back to the primary monitor. I cannot recommend this KVM.

Bad Displayports
The displayport did not work. The monitor using the switch's displayport was blank; when I bypassed the switch, the monitor worked okay. All of the HDMI and USB worked okay. I returned this item and ordered another switch with all HDMI from same seller.

Darn good unit for the price but not exactly comparable to more expensive units
My first impressions with this unit put this unit as a decent desktop/workstation KVM with few comparable options in the price range. The Good:(1) Price: This comes in at 1/4 the price of well known brands for the same port/channel count.(2) Construction: The chassis is steel and nothing (not even the buttons) feels like it's going to break, the PCB is not floating around inside the case like I have seen in the past for some plastic units. The use of full-size USB-B connections is a big plus for me.(3) USB cables included: 4x 5ft USB-A to USB-B cables (for host computers), 1x 5ft USB-A to USB-micro (for remote switch panel).(4) Remote: The remote switch that uses a standard USB-A to Micro-USB cable to connect, is a simple piece that makes remote mounting of control possible without any fuss. It allows for a clean looking cable managed set up if you desire this.(5) External Power: This uses an external (included) power adapter, and does not rely on USB power from a host to function, that is something that I have had problems with in the past. The not so good:(1) Switching disconnects display device from host: essentially the monitor is being "unplugged" from the unselected machines on the switch. This may be a limitation of DisplayPort or newer digital interfaces (I will look into it), but older VGA digital KVM switches would allow identification to remain connected to the host while switching the actual RGB/Sync lines when changing inputs. This affects desktop composition for multi-monitor machines and takes about 2 seconds to realign on a Windows 10 desktop.(2) Port layout: USB ports are on one side of the unit, while the DP ports, power in, and remote port are on the other side. Having this sit on a desk and allow clean cabling is a bit trickier as you have cables running out of both the back and front of the switch at the same time. Obviously, this can be overlooked at this price pointTo Summarize, this will allow you to switch two displays for 4 machines (I have been running a pair of these to switch 4 monitors between 3 hosts for over a week, and find this to be a suitable solution for my needs). Alternative options I looked at were listed at anywhere between 4 and 10 times the price I paid for two of these. You'll need to provide your own DP cables, and deal with the display disconnects from the hosts while switching, but at the price point these are both things I am willing to overlook. So far I have had no undesirable effects, and I have not noticed any video quality degradation to any of my 4 connected Dell P2214H monitors at 1080/60.Am I Impressed: Yes.Am I Amazed: No.Does it work: YesIs it perfect: NoWill it last: I'm going to find out (So far so good at the 10 day mark). This is a decent implementation of a quad channel dual display USB/DP KVM, and for the price of $150CAD (when I purchased) it definitely serves it's purpose in the market. For someone with similar requirements, I would strongly give this thing a try.

Unbedingt sofort nach dem Kauf testen! (Empfehlung)
Also schloss ich alles an.

Configuration : 1 PC HP Z240 + Mac Mini + Réplicateur HP 3005pr.

Great kvm for today's computers
The price is great and it allows me to have dual monitors for the many computers that I use.I used to use the 4 port vga/ps2 kvm. I always needed adapters for the video and one of the ps2 peripherals. (Most new motherboards only have one ps2 port now and the graphics adapter are loosing the vga ports too.)Using this device greatly simplifies connecting my computers to the kvm. Only need three cables and it looks neater. Also wanted to add that I didn't need to use the supplied power adapter, as the unit will take power from the usb port.
