Works
It did take me a minute to figure out how to turn on the purple light instead of white light but it does kill the mosquitoes. I love the self cleaning function (hold button down for 6 seconds) and I live near a river so the mosquitoes are bad. I like that I can just leave this one outside and don't have to bring it in to charge like my other one. The purple light lasts for hours. We did try to use the brightest white light one night for a bon fire and it only lasted an hour but that is okay because I didn't really buy it to be used as a light. It might have lasted longer but I didn't bring it in and only let it solar charge that day. Overall, I really love that it is solar and I can leave it outside and forget about it while at the same time reducing mosquitoes to a tolerable level.

Effective
It has a built in solar panel and a charging cable. Left outdoor to charge under the sun until dawn and just need to charge another hour or two indoor and this bug zapper will be on all night. I can see big and small bugs zapped to death and cling onto the metal grid. Once in awhile, the built in brush will turn itself to get rid of all the dead bugs on the grid the whole way round. This self cleaning function is excellent and the metal grid is spraklingly clean. You just need to remove the bottom lid once in awhile to empty the dead bugs. Super satify something this useful and maintenance free.

Does not work, No produce contact info
I purchased this product in advance for our RV trip to Idaho. I based the purchase on the description of the bug light. We spent 6 weeks in Idaho where the mosquito's were pretty bad. We used this product in a 10' x 10' screened area and in the RV. In the 6 week period the unit didn't kill one mosquito. I was very disappointed that not only the produce didn't work but there was no contact info to get any assistance. This is the first review I have ever written, please don't waste your money on a product that doesn't stand behind there produce with a lease some kind of contact info.

Handy Portable Bug Zapper for Outdoors
I was looking for a bug zapper that I could keep as a permanent fixture in my backyard. I saw that this one had a self-cleaning function, so I decided to give it a shot. Placement with these things is everything, so finding that perfect spot took some trial and error. But once I did, the zapper went to work. Once zapper mode is activated on the lantern, it turns on and off on its own based on the light sensor (dusk to dawn). It would be nice if there were a way to force it on without having to cover up the sensor, though. Thanks to the trickle charging from its solar panel, I was able to leave it alone for about a week before I felt the need to charge it back to 100%. The zapper does get a little dirty after a while with all the bugs that get stuck to it, but the self-cleaning brush runs on its own every few days to clean it up. If you can't wait that long, you can force clean it by pressing and holding the power button on top until the brush starts moving (about 5 seconds or so). Overall, I've been pretty happy with this bug zapper.

Great little light!
I am very happy with my purchase. The solar bug killing lamp works well for small bugs, like black flies and mosquitoes. It is quiet and goes off in the morning with the right settings. It also is a great camping light. Nice bright light when you want it. I ordered two more for my sons. I took the bottom out so the bugs drop out onto the grass next to my deck.

Is amazing when It worked. there was a weird spark (short perhaps) when the bug zap function is on
I like the auto clean function that goes on every few days. I like the bug zapping and the blue glow from it. the 3 levels of brightness light on the bug zapper. What i don't like is that after a month of use, normal use and somewhat infrequent, when I turn the bug zapper option on the lamp just continuously makes a spark in one spot and a zapping sound. (but theres no bug being fried, it's just the electrical wire that wraps around zaps and zaps and it sounds dangerous)

Solar Power Bug Zapper
The media could not be loaded. AiMoxa Self-Cleaning Solar Bug Zapper is worth the buy. I bought it in July, and left used it outside since then. I've left it out in rain and shine, and the zapper continues to work flawlessly. But zapper uses UV light to attract bugs and mosquitoes. It's self cleaning, brush clears dead bugs with ease. In my opinion, this zapper is a bang for the buck.Highly Recommended!

Zapper and lights worked well… for only 6 days
I was initially very pleased because both the bug zapping and the light feature worked great after fully charging. Then on night 5 the light started flickering on and off. The next day the zapper wouldn’t work anymore. The lights not working seem as if it’s a matter of time. Disappointing.

Bought it for the Rv
I can't wait for summer finally I can go camping and not get eaten alive. It charges easily and for now is a great emergency light if I need one.
