Stranger Things Season 1 4-disc DVD / Blu-Ray Collectors Edition Box Set (Exclusive VHS Box Style Packaging)

Beware if you’re new to the series. The very beginning has a season 2 trailer you cannot skip. At least on a ps5. 5 minutes of trailers you cannot skip at all. At least the ps5 will remember your spot. Still docking 2 stars for it

The box had new looking shrink wrap and even the target store sticker on it (?), but there was no promotional poster in the box's slot for it. Not sure if this box was actually used and re-wrapped, or the missing poster was an oversight in manufacturing, but it just wasn't there. I didn't want a poster anyway but if that's important to you, now you know.Otherwise, the disks and all seemed like a new item, no scratches or distress or fingerprints anywhere. Great for the price I paid, compared to the other offers.My other thing of note is if you haven't watched the show and don't want Season 1 spoiled by your Season 1 box set: Disk 1 forced my DVD player to play a trailer for Season 2 filled with spoilers before it loaded the menu, and still does every time.There is no way around playing trailers with the normal controls like menu, top menu, next, or even fast forward. You are frozen and forced to watch 10 minutes of trailers. You can stop or eject but when you start again... you guessed it. I guess you could shut off the monitor and guess when the trailers end.To get around the trailer playing, you have to put in Disk 2 and let it load, then select an episode from Disk 1 from the Disk 2 menu (??), and eject Disk 2 and put in Disk 1 so it will play. Obviously, this was a design choice since they designed the menus to list all the episodes on both disks..Forcing you to watch trailers at all? That just stinks Netflix. Waiting 10 minutes for Disk 1 to load every time it's put in? Crummy no matter what. And the solution is disk swapping? Wow.Spoilers though, what were you people thinking? I feel bad for anyone who got this and had the show's suspense wrecked, because they were trying to get out with the right escape button, but there is none. What a bad idea.

The show is obviously great, but just a heads up, there are previews on the Blu ray that cannot be skipped or fast forwarded. You MUST watch them. Everytime. It's annoying! Never had a DVD or Blu ray that did that in my life.

So with so many fakes out there, I was worried when it came to buying this series. But since I enjoy the show so much I wanted to add it to the collection. It arrived in a timely fashion and well packaged. Upon opening it contained 4 disc’s 2 blu rays and 2 regular dvds. I love the vintage packaging. From what I can tell, these discs seem legit. I have a DVD/Blu-ray player Both sets of discs played well in the player. I did notice there is no passing previews does this mean there not real ? I don’t know. Other than not being able to pass previews the set seems fine. If your a fan of the show it’s definitely worth the buy. Now if I can only get the other seasons.

The VHS look to the case is top notch and it was at a fantastic price. My all time favorite show so I'm a little bias, but buy it!

It came packaged so well (the product came in excellent condition!!! And it’s the coolest vintage VHS tape look alike to hold the CDs. Will be buying for family and friends.

The VHS looking case really brought back some good memories....much like the show! :)
