I'm no rug connoisseur, but for the price I say this is a high quality rug. I am surprised at the bad reviews I read and went ahead with the purchase in spite of them. I am not disappointed in the least. The color is just as advertised. There was no bad smell. The thickness is perfect as is. No damage or discoloration at all. After unrolling it, it laid flat immediately. The only critique I can give is that without anchoring it with furniture, I would need something underneath to hold it in place. But I expected that since it is going on a wood floor and it is not a heavy rug. It is anchored with furniture, so that won't be an issue. I have other area rugs to purchase and will most likely be getting a Safavieh.

I really like this rug. It's thin, but very soft feeling. I read reviews from other Safavieh rugs that said the rug came folded, not rolled, and that they have a horribly strong chemical smell. This rug came rolled and pretty much flattened out within 30 minutes, except the end that was on the inside of the roll. It'll take a little more time. There was no strong chemical smell. It was more of a light new carpet smell that wasn't even noticed hours later.The reason I took a star off is the color. The picture shows a true gray/cream. The rug I received looks more like a blue/gray. I really wish it was gray and contemplated sending it back, but with the quality and price, I decided to keep it.

Looks and feel good on your feet

I got the 16' runner, which worked great on my basement stairs. The price was right too. The pile is good for stairs. hen I un-rolled it, there was a line down the middle even though the tape was on the outside of the carpet. I vacuumed it , rolled it the opposite way to get the ridges out. If I was using it to lay flat on the floor, I suspect it would take a bit to get it to lay flat. For the stairs, it worked perfectly. It is soft too.

I bought the 9x12 and it looks great in my living room. It’s soft, low pile and has a beautiful modern pattern. It brings soft grey pale blue and ivory into the space. Very happy with the quality and price for this size rug. I’d purchase again.

The price is really good for a 10x13 rug, and I have a number of Safavieh rugs that I really like. However, this one was damaged- a long "run" down the rug where fibers were loose and falling out, like a bald spot but a line instead of a spot. I thought it wouldn't be a big deal as we could cover that part with the couch, but the color was also way lighter than we were expecting. I thought it would be a medium gray color but it seemed like a light blue-ish gray. If we were putting this in a different room it might pass but not in a high traffic living room- too hard to keep clean, I think. The pictures I'm posting have some weird warm spot tones to them, but I think that's just my camera. The rug doesn't have any beige in it. Wish I could give it 3.5 stars.
