Exceeded my expectations, love these little lanterns for tea lights and shipping was fast too. Very happy i ordered them.

Do not buy this. Whatever level of cheapness or unsuitable use expectation you can imagine - this lamp falls short.I generally post positive reviews and give an extra level of grace for business attempts to try and meet people’s needs at a reasonable price. I have the UCO Candle Lantern Kit 2.0 and it is great quality, but since I wanted several lanterns I was looking for a less expensive one that may not be the quality of UCO, but still was usable. This is not that product.The thin rubber base is stretched over the flared bottom of the lamp to retain the tealight candle in the lamp. This requires some level of tilting and orienting the lamp to completely attach the flimsy rubber base - not something you want to do with a lit tealight. Great, we’ll light it once it is installed, except the base has no provision for centering the candle for the wick to be aligned directly in the burn hole. When I first inserted a tealight I could not even see the wick, because there is ample room for it to slide around. I scooted it over enough for you to see the wick in the attached photo. There is nothing to prevent the tealight candle from sliding off to the side - both a dangerous and inefficient way to deal with open flame light.I also usually do not complain about the packaging, but if you put a flimsy product in a flimsy box inside a hyper thin exterior plastic packaging, I guess we might assume that even the seller does not respect their product.I have asked for a refund and the auto response said to not send the product back.Caveat emptor.

Votive lantern, I thought to use this for emergency lighting, emergency heat. I used a small hook to mount this to a wall surface. The lantern was hot enough to burn the paint through the paper on the sheet rock. Soot went up to the ceiling on the wall. Do not mount this to a wall surface. Lantern worked well for light and heat. Handle gets very hot, careful not to burn yourself on the handle. Entire lantern heats up very hot, it can burn you, be careful. Maybe best used outdoors, do not use in a tent. Too hot to handle once lit. Easy to extinguish by blowing in the holes on the top. Be careful with this.

The little lantern arrived in a timely manner. It's a nice little lantern . I think it's every bit worth $3.00, but it is NOT worth $10.00+.

This lantern works great. I have a two of a variant that doesn’t have the rubber base and just the hanging swivel and they work great. The tea lights are supposed to go inside the glass dome, not in the base like another reviewer said. That appears to be optional storage for additional candles, but you are not supposed to burn the candle from that lower portion. Not sure how they figured it was supposed to work like that, but it’s not. Trailblazer sells them as the hanging unit and that should give an idea of how you’re supposed to use them. In both lanterns you can store several tea lights when not in use and beeswax ones will burn for several hours giving a warm light and sweet aroma. Highly recommend as cheap lanterns for around camp and would work great with citronella candles too.

Its a good little lantern. The top screws off, you can then remove the glass chimney and set the tea candle inside. The candle sits in there securely. The rubber base is fine, I see no issue with the rubber base. I like these, I have two. This lantern is decently constructed and is very serviceable, it will do its job. Would buy again.
