I was insulating the inside of a roll up metal garage door. Regular foil tape lost its grip once the sun warmed the garage door. This fiberglass foil did not lose its grip. Worked good, easy to apply, and looks good too.

Folks this is a tape that has a mesh on it. It will dry up like any duct tape after a while. It does adhere to metal great.But to the end effect is a tape like any other nothing special.I would say all aluminum only tape is better.

I used this to repair my old fiberglass garage door that had a couple of holes and cracks, and reinforce a rather large surface.If you're a fingernail biter, forget this unless you have someone with longer fingernails. The tape is thin and the paper backing is just as thin. Getting the backing off definitely took the most time and swear words. The silver is also very thin so it comes off the tape easily.Why 4 stars? It sticks well if you prep the sticking surface well. Clean it with some isopropyl alcohol first. The tape is easy to conform to surfaces because it's thin.

The paper backing for this foil tape is difficult to remove and easily tears in the process of trying to peel itoff of the foil
