I ordered beads at this site because I really liked the backstory that went along with the company. Helping third world countries/ companies help themselves seemed like a good thing to support. The beads are very nice looking but unfortunately not very rugged. I have used them in 2 bracelets so far and both times the beads have fractured and split. So I feel as though I’ve donated to a worthy cause but the product isn’t great.

These beads are absolutely gorgeous. String of beads was well packed with plenty of paper in a small bubble envelope - cats got a sheet of paper to bat around and hide under. Almost wish they didn’t come with raffia over the cord so I could just hang them right around my neck. It’s almost a shame to take them off this pretty cord with raffia.Got 9mm clear beads to use for a necklace. I don’t think they’re rugged enough for bracelets; a good 1/3 of the beads have half-cracks in them which is prossibly due to rapid cooling in the fusion process - this is a perfectly natural occurrence.Made a beautiful simple necklace with these beads and with drilled pebbles. Have enough beads left over for maybe a bracelet, definitely a pair of earrings.Been collecting jewelry supplies for quite a while now but these beads finally got me my creative oomph back. 🤩Update: purchased more Bead Chest beads through Etsy - pricing is better, and if one purchases more than $35 worth one gets free shipping.

I've been buying beads for jewelry making from the bead chest for awhile now and I cannot stress enough how helpful this company is and how amazing the quality of the beads are. I've used these recycled glass beads for quite a few projects since they capture such a beautiful aesthetic on bracelets and necklaces. The 11mm goes perfectly for my bracelets and the 14mm is a perfect fit for my necklaces. I also love that they're straight from Africa and how it helps the artisans over there. I should also mention their jumbo version of these are amazing as home decor pieces! I bought a couple strands and placed one in a bowl as a center piece on my coffee table and another just spread across on some stacked books I have on my shelf :) 5/5 for this product and company!

I have purchased very similar beads from other places and these are the best value I have found so far. These are really nice color and quality. The large beads can get pretty pricey but you get a lot of beads in this offering.

Did not like these at all. They are gritty to the touch and if you want to double them up in a circle to place on centerpiece you can’t. They don’t fold or cross. Their to stiff. When I notified seller to return they sent me a label. BEWARE....The label is not postage free. You have to pay for the cost of postage and the return address is in CA which is going to cost me a lot. Ugh!!!

Totally love these beads. I'm an interior designer and will definitely be buying more of these beads for clients. They're beautiful and just as nice as similar beads you'd find for $80 or $100.

They can be a little grabby, so make sure you dudes shave your necks, and beware that long hair might entangle. There's also very little slack in the cord, so don't expect the string to bend much to conform to anatomy. I actually ended up cutting the cord and making a few bracelets with the beads, but the color and texture of them is really nice.

I love these recycled glass beads! This is my third strand from this seller. The texture of the recycled glass lends itself to beautiful beaded jewelry Orr decorative bead garlands. I have purchased grey, aqua and blue; the colors are soft and natural. I will buy these beads as long as the seller makes them available!
