Just arrived! So excited to get this installed. Rehomed 9 canaries and have been filling food silos daily. This will greatly improve function and almost alleviate "hands in the cage", as it fills from outside the cage! It arrived bubble wrapped, then wrapped in more padding and in its own shipping box. Well done! It is well constructed, sturdy, and will probably outlast these birds! We shall see how the hulls separate and drop into removable waste container underneath. Looking at construction, small opening for head, I believe this will stop the wasteful scatter that they like to do. +++++ Happy bird mom!

I actually really liked the design of this automatic feeder. I have one that is very similar to style to this one and it works great. Keeps things from getting too messy. These feeders seem incredibly easy to crack though, as they actually arrived with damage and I returned them as soon as I noticed.

Looked cool and like it would work. It really doesn't. Difficult for parakeets to get into. The perch should come out further or have another one. I don't like the perch and neither did my parakeet. It spins, so I fixed it so it wouldn't spin with the little rubber bands that come with the feeder. My parakeet doesn't like to sit in the feeder because he has a hard time turning around to get out. He tries to stand on the ladder I put in for him so he can get to the feeder. He doesn't like jumping into the feeder. It is also very flimsy, although it would probably hold up under normal usage.

My parakeet would always make a mess no matter what feeder I used. but this Feeder does what it’s supposed to do. it’s not 100% mess free as it claims. but it does reduce it by 95% so there’s a lot less to clean up. The bad part is it’s made with very cheap plastic that feels flimsy in your hands and will break with the slightest of breath. Handling this feeder required extremely care. It came well rapped in 2 layers of shipping packing foam and still by just removing the packing and using extreme care I still managed to break off one of the tabs. It was still in tact and didn’t affect it’s use. The feeder comes with no instructions at all so your going to have to install it by using your common sense. If your not good at this get someone who is because you will brake it. The feeder is not as big as the cage opening so there is a small gap on ether sides of the feeder. If you have small birds like finches they my be able to squeeze through that gap and escape. If you have medium to large birds they should not be able to make it through the small gaps. The feeder can also be mounted inside the cage and that will eliminate that problem if you wish to. My bird took 20 minutes to figure it out and is enjoying it. I like it because it does what it’s supposed to do. It cut my cleanup time to almost nothing but it’s so flimsy I don’t know how long it will last because it so fragile. So it worked but very flimsy use extra care when handling this feeder.

Have three and buying one more . No more mess and my canaries are happy . I’m a busy woman and sometimes I forget to refill , this is a perfect way to make sure my birdies have fresh food all day . No mess , everything falls into a little draw . Amazing

We're super happy with this. Install was easy. It really has worked well to reduce waste and mess. There's still a little bit of seed/hulls that spill, but only a very minor amount. Can't even describe how much better this is than the feeder "bowl" that came with the cage. If I were to suggest a slight change,it might be to make it a half inch wider, but honestly there's no real need to do so. Super happy with this.
