I am reviewing the EVERSECU Wireless Security Camera, 720P HD Home WiFi Wireless Security Surveillance IP Camera Motion Detection Pan/Tilt, 2 Way Audio Night Vision Baby Monitor, Nanny Cam (White).Bottom line: I like the camera and plan to buy one or two more.ShippingWas fast, device arrived just a day after ordered (I have Prime).I was concerned as I heard a rattle when I moved the box, but this was due to the power supply, cable, a package of screws, and a black thing; the camera was safely and securely packaged in the box. (The black round thing is used to attach to a surface with the screws and allows surface mounting.)Box contains: camera, USB power supply, 4' cable (USB to micro USB), pair of screws and seat (you screw into wall and affix camera to), and "quick" manual. Note that manual says you get a bracket that does not come with camera.After I ordered the camera, I got two emails from seller. One is telling me that Amazon has confirmed my order and telling me they want to make sure I'm happy. (nice). Second confirms shipment and tells me to search YouTube for "eversecu icsee wireless camera setup" for a video on how to set up the camera. Also, that camera only works on 2.6GHz Wifi and not 5G Wifi.The cameraIt's cute. Size: 4.3" (110mm) high by 4.5" (116mm) deep by 3.6" (92mm) wide.Image is good during the day. Memory (micro SD) goes in top of camera. Wifi antenna is permanently affixed, rotates 180 degrees left and right, and moves 90 degrees vertical to horizontal.It uses a standard USB power supply (5V 1.6A) and approx 4' cable (included).DOWNER: At night, the IR (infra-red illuminator) is on and you cannot turn it off. This is good if you use the camera inside; but bad if you face it out a window (as you can't see anything outside given the IR reflection). I've written to the company and they tell me: "there is no way to turn off the IR light. The only way to disable IR lights is to put some black sticker on the IR leds to block the IR lights." They told me that if you're courageous, you could open the housing and unplug the wire connecting the IR board to the camera board.Setting it up.There's a QR code on the box, which points to the application (for me, in the Apple store as I have an iPhone). Install it. Run the app, and create a login. Note--the email you supply (while creating the login) is used to send you a 4-digit code that you have 2 minutes to enter in the application. Then your login is finished.Plug the camera in to power and wait till it says it's up.Next, press the key to connect to a new device.You need to enter the credentials to connect to the Wifi.A QR code appears on your phone screen, you hold this in front of the camera.This process is shown in a short 2-minute no-narration video you find by searching for "eversecu icsee wireless camera setup", this was https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3RfZju00seg as of this writing. You use your smartphone. Camera seems easy to set up as the camera scans a QR code that displays on your smartphone.Movement detectionI didn't test this but the capabilities seem nice. According to the movement setup: You can specify up to 5 time slots that the detection is enabled. When an alarm occurs, you can specify to take a snapshot, take a video, or have the device beep. And you can specify sensitivity to three ranges.StorageI didn't test this with a micro SD card.The application (on your smartphone) shows micro SD card capacity, storage remaining, and what to do when storage runs out (stop recording or overwrite). You can also format the (micro) SD card.PositivesCamera is fairly easy to set up.Picture is nice, color is good.Easy to turn the camera -- just touch and move the image on your phone, and the camera moves up/down/left/right.Camera accepts any USB type power and any micro-USB connector. This gives you a flexibility to use existing USB connection or longer (or shorter) USB cable if you want.NegativesAt night camera turns on infrared (IR) illumination. There is no way to turn this off. While this is great if you are using the camera indoors, it makes the camera unusable if it's facing through a window outdoors. Mfgr suggests applying black tape over the IR lights.List of contents shows a bracket that did not come with the camera.Instructions show a network interface on the device (for network cable) that is not present on the device. Instructions suggest installing a network cable, but of course given there's nowhere to plug it into the camera, this is annoying.UntestedI haven't tried using a micro SD card, recording, and movement detection.Bottom line: I will probably buy more of these for around the house; I'm also thinking of putting it outside using a ziplock bag to protect the camera.

I like the fact that it screws in a light socket and that theres no wires to mess with it was a little hard to connect the first one but the second one was much easier to install I think the cameras are very good quality and I would recommend them

It works when it wants to. Purchased 2...does not work in the back porch light. It does not rotate and at night the pictures can not be seen. I would not purchase these again and am looking for something else now.

My bf and I purchased these for more secure feeling, they were easy to install, easy to get hooked up to the phone with the app and they’ve been working really good. We have one that keeps malfunctioning and when the company was contacted they did try to trouble shoot but when that didn’t work they sent a replacement like right away. Good customer service I’d say.

The setting up is not too dificult , you do need to pay for video recording service, but it does take pictures although I would rather it record video without having to pay for that service. But overall it is a decent product for keeping tabs of what you need it for .

Best simple security system available. No service contract, just wonderful tracking and warning of intruders.Word of caution, when screwing into a socket do not screw from the pivoting camera shell as this may torque the motor shaft and break it as shown in the photos. Only screw unit from the base.

No motion detection unless you sign up for an account which then makes the camera accessible from anywhere instead of just your own lan. You then have to trust whoever owns the server somewhere in china to keep your recording and live stream private. Not for me, I would rather use a local account and access my camera through my vpn server when I am away. Then I am in control of where my camera data is streamed to. But like I said you can't have motion detection on a local account for some strange reason. The camera itself was a bit of a nightmare to connect but once it did the picture quality and PTZ was pretty good. God knows how you log in from the browser it asked for a password but didn't let me login with the password I had picked when I registered. The app was ok, but I couldn't get it to record or watch any motion detection it just kept saying it couldn't download it. Pointless really if it can't do the recording, so I returned.

This would not connect via WiFi and does not even have a data socket which is the first time I've ever seen a camera without one.I sent it back as needed a camera to work via WiFi.
