Exactly what I needed to fix my 40 year old Whirlpool Dryer. The clothes dryers they make now a days just don't hold up like the ole trust worthy ones back in the day...... the dryers that one can fix themselves. Some people call it a latch kit and others call it a catch. Regardless it worked perfectly. The catch/latch on the top/outside was loose and the piece on the inside top of the door needed to be replaced as well. The door will click in place when it closes properly. This part fits just perfectly and once again my dryer door closes tightly and secure..... just like it should. Thank you Podoy for still keeping these parts in stock. Although I'm relatively sure that the dryer will probably out live me. I'm certainly not gonna live another 40 years. Whirlpool has this part as well but their prices are outrageously over the top. So far it works great!! I have a very old dryer that still works fine but lid catch has been broken for some time.seen these and had good reviews so I gave it a try and glad I did and you get 2 in case it does break again in future.

Fit perfectly in 40 year old dryer! Note this is for 2 SETS. The part for the dryer cabinet comes snapped into the part for the dryer door.Take a pair of pliers and separate the two parts by holding the combined part in one hand by the non-metal sides and with the pliers in the other hand, grasp the small end (the Cabinet part) on the sides that are in line with the metal on the door part. Using a short jerking motion, it will separate easily (think: they are made to come apart when you open the door!).Then, using a 1/4" straight blade screwdriver, remove the door half from its hole by jabbing the screwdriver blade in beside the catch and pry it up and outward. It doesn't matter if part of it breaks off. You may have to pry a little bit at a time switching to opposite sides, then the two other sides till it comes out. Then repeat the process with the dryer cabinet part.Taking the two supplied parts, press them into the openings, the bigger part goes in the door with the metal on the sides towards the dryer and you. The smaller piece goes in the cabinet with the little tongue vertical. That should match the direction of the clasping part you put into the door. Voila, you're done.

They not only work on clothes dryers. Clip busted on my furnace access panel. Replaced them with these clips. They worked perfect. No big review, just to the point.
