Sturdy, eco-friendly disposable plates
These are perfect plates for parties or just snacks in general. They’re much sturdier than regular paper plates so they won’t fold or drop food, and they even hold up really well in the microwave! I mused one to microwave some leftover meat and veggies and no leaks, no seeping through, & plate is still sturdy. It’s a 20 pack of 8” round plates, and they’re not all the exact same. They all have different colors and patterns in them (most likely due to their more natural source), & they’re a textured plate (lines across it) so they’re not smooth. I love that they’re more eco-friendly, the packaging says they’re made from fallen palm leaves so not even hurting the palm trees. The packaging also says they’re compostable and “ultra sturdy and leak resistant” which they do appear to be. Though I will note that after I unwrapped them from the plastic (odd they chose plastic wrap when they’re trying to be eco-friendly), the plates did have an odd plastic smell to them. I let them sit open air for a bit and then used them, no affect on the food.I definitely would recommend these for anyone either just wanting more eco-friendly disposable plates at home, or for parties, as these hold up really well and them all looking slightly different gives it a cool natural effect. The only potential issue with these is the texture of the plate, as it’s not smooth and does have grooves in it that could make certain foods harder to eat on it as it could potentially get stuck in those grooves—but I haven’t had any issues with what I’ve eaten on them so far.

Not flat.
These plates turned out to be not very flat. Maybe good for holding "solid" food, but something rather juice could spill out.

Beautiful, sturdy disposables
If you have to use disposables, the palm leaf plates are by far the best. They're absolutely practical and are much sturdier than cheesy paper, styrofoam, or even the thick paper plates. They do conduct heat so if you have a hot dish in there it's going to get to your hand or lap underneath. The thick paper plates are probably a little better at insulation than these. Other than that, the are far superior. And they just look beautiful. If you want to make an impression, these are the way to go. We typically get one or two comments at gatherings when we use these. I also love the fact that I can toss them into the compost although they don't break down as quick as you'd think. They last a good 6-8 months before they start to decay. One thing to keep in mind is that they will get moldy if you leave (no pun intended) them out. Once you break the plastic wrapping seal, it's game on. Use them quickly.

Sturdier than anticipated
I'm an eco-friendly kind of guy and like to try and do my part to help make our planet & our lives a little bit better. I was intrigued by these new, ECO SOUL, disposable Palm Leaf plates. I wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised by them.PROS:1) Very sturdy. Much more so than what they initially looked like.2) Leak proof3) Somewhat washable. No through the dishwasher but you could easily hand rinse/wash them off and use them again.4) Surprised at the durability and quality.CONS:1) A little warped. Not so bad that they don't sit right or drip anything off the side, just not totally smooth/level2) Almost too nice to be a disposable plate. My friends all felt bad when I said they could throw them away, because the felt the plates were too good to just toss.3) A little pricey for disposable. Unless you intend to reuse them several times. Then a decent investmentOverall, I would recommend these Palm Leaf Disposable plates. They are unique, sturdy, and durable.

Nice looking plates - very unique
I was a little surprise that they were a bit on the small side. I was expecting something more like dinner plates, but it says the size right on the website, so the misunderstanding is all on me.I love things that have a rustic look to them and these definitely fit into that. Each plate has a unique look to it. Some are very simple and basic. Others look like they've got moss growing on them or have a deep grain. The description talks a lot about how good these are for the environment, or at least how non-destructive they are. I hope it's all true. I haven't done a deep dive into palm leaf plants so I have to take their word for these facts for now. The website also talks about a woody scent. I smelled them closely and couldn't get anything.I have friends over to watch football games and these will be terrific to put snacks on, and a great conversation piece.
