I bought this as a diary and it works pretty well. I got the black and gold version, but the gray part looked a little bit bluer than in the picture, but not dramatically. Easy to use the lock and set the lock, refillable, and nice. Looks really cute, and I'd recommend.

Dysfunctional Lock
Received as a gift. Set the code and the lock only opened once then it seized up and would not open again. We returned the book and ordered another. The EXACT same thing happened again! The instructions say to contact product customer service through Amazon but of course that is impossible to find on Amazon.

Bought this for my 9 year old niece and she loves it to write or draw her personal thoughts. The lock ensures she’s the only one to have access. She doesn’t know it yet, but this will again be a gift to her when she’s older and she can read what her 9 year old self was thinking and doing and who her friends were, etc.
