Not for the Jetta
The knob does not screw on tightly on the gearshift shaft. It just sort of sits on top loosely. The chrome trim designed to snap on around the base and secure the bottom of the boot is far too small to use at all. I used my old one and did keep the unit. It looks nice but try another source if you own a Jetta.

Looks near perfect. Feels almost right.
I'd think this set was perfect except for it twists a little. A small niggle at this price point.Looks like stock. Honestly.Feels like stock. Almost. (Little twisty)Correct size shape and shift pattern on top.I really like it.I might try to add plastic epoxy to mitigate the twist. Or cannibalize the old stock part for the inside piece to firm up rotation slop.

Great replacement for worn out knob and leatherette for the price
Very nice replacement for the price. Quality is not OEM but neither was the price. If I have to replace this item every year or two would still be worth it. Took me 3 minutes to install and fit was very good. Would give it 5 stars if quality was a little better, but excellent value

The new knob fits well and looks nice in the car
The new knob fits well and looks nice in the car. The appearance is what's to be expected. The one thing this product lacks is quality. The knob plastic is not cleaned up around the seams, so its a bit unrefined, and it does feel pretty cheap. The product does the job, and looks good, and will replace any knob that has worn out.

great for the price.
It's great for the price, the leatherette looks great in my car next to all the real leather and blends in. The only flaw it the numbers printed on the knob are crooked, I didn't notice it at first, for the price I won't complain too much. Definitely can't beat it for $10, a genuine VW one from thier website was $48

Cheap Replacement
Smelly, and plastic- but really a nice upgrade over the factory knob and boot with holes in the worn out leather. The trim ring is 10000x easier to install than the factory boot trim ring... but the chrome really stands out if you don't have any other chrome trim in your interior.I'll prob just paint it flat black to match.

Fairly nice for the price
Bought this to replace a cheapy that I got on ebay to replace my old boot. The plastic ring on the ebay version snapped immediately when putting it in and was a sloppy fit. This one is a much better quality version. Plastic is rigid enough to withstand installation and it fits much more snug. I did have to trim the excess molding waste off the knob as it was a little sloppy and felt like it would cut your hand, but after a few minutes of working it, its just as good as factory.

Nice.. for the price.
Looks pretty nice! Popped right in as well for very easy installation..... only problems were the quality. first off the top circle with the gears listed on it came off and i had to glue it on; the slits where it is supposed to go in result in it being slightly crocked, not to mention the whole image is shifted to the left slightly(not centered). the other part was there is a plastic seam the right where my ring finger goes and it is fairly uncomfortable, and I had to sand it down.

which was great. Unfortunately the seams where (I assume) the moulds ...
The top cap of the knob (the part with the "map" of the gear positions) was separate from the knob upon arrival. I tried hot-gluing it, but it popped off a few days later. I finally superglued it on, and now it stays, but the glue distorted the printing on the backside.Knob came with a new clamp to fasten it to the shift rod, which was great.Unfortunately the seams where (I assume) the moulds met, is very sharp and rough. A definite protrusion that is uncomfortable on your hand. For $10 I would buy again, but if I could find one without the seams, that would be preferred.
