Loaded with Weeds
Over seeded my dormant lawn last week of August. The grass results were good as shown in the picture. Unfortunately the weeds grew just as well. The weeds popped up in only the areas that I over seeded with Scott’s Northeast mix.I have used this same product in previous years and have never had this issue. Not sure if I will buy Scott’s Northeast mix again.

The grass is growing
I wrecked my yard last year not knowing what I was doing when I got a yard for the first time in my life.Reseeded this spring with this. Watered as directed. The stuffs growing and its looking great so far! More to go, but I'm happy. Definitely not 100% of seeds. Maybe something like 80% of seeds. May be my fault, maybe not, but I'm happy with the results considering how much ground there was to cover. With a proper overseeding in fall I think my yard will be 100% for next year!

(Updated Review) Product from Scott's
I have purchased many products from Scott's.This particular seed product didn't grow. I planted two different yards within a week, one yard produced thick green grass and this seed (Northeast Blend) didn't even sprout.* Updated I sent an email to Scotts about this bad experience. Without question they offered a full refund. I went to my local store and checked the dates on the products and got the same exact seed again. This time the seed grew in thick and green.I am not sure why the first seeding didn't grow but I am very happy with the end result. Thank you Scotts for your help.

Do it right and it pays off!
Photos show day 5 (early sprouts), day 8 (still thin), day 23 (before and after mowing).I planted in zone 6 Massachusetts on September 19. I first worked hard to remove all the weeds from the planting area, then added cow manure compost before seeding. I seeded and topped it with peat moss. Then I fertilized with Scotts Turf Builder Starter Food for New Grass and watered faithfully. My lawn was UGLY before the 2021 season and then all my neighbors started asking me how on Earth I had made such a transformation. Number 1 was attacking the grubs with beneficial nematodes and number 2 was the Scott’s season-long program. I’m actually looking forward to spring so that I can continue the improvements!

Disappointed. Very long germination period. Poor results
I have experience growing grass. I prepped all areas with raking, fresh topsoil, straw, daily watering, etc. This seed took weeks to germinate and is slow to grow. I started in early May in CT. The shaded areas are doing better than partial to full sun. Disappointed. The full sun areas are sparse at best and will bake out in full summer. I am looking elsewhere next time. Significant investment in time and soil, etc. I need to do it all over again in the fall.

Good coverage even in partial shade
I live in the Northeast, so I wanted to see if this blend would be good in my yard. Planted in an area that is partial shade and had a good germination rate and the seeds sprouted within a week. I will definitely use it in other parts of my lawn for over-seeding and new areas that have no grass.

put on a lot of hope, but got nothing
The grass seeds don't germinate, I couldn't see grass growing out of the soil after 4 weeks long waiting. It wasted my time and efforts. The bag of 7-bl Northeast Mix is from the Lot No 22020544, and the original "sell by" date was Apr 30 2023, but being altered to 04-30-24.

Has done very well in this summer's drought
I had my yard torn up last June for a new septic system. The installer graded the yard and spread some grass seed but it didn't do well when the summer turned hot. I spread this Northeast Mix at the end of August and have been very pleased with the results. We're in the middle of a fairly severe drought this summer and the Northeast mix is still green without rain or watering.
