Is this sturdy enough to use for making pastry?

Yes it’s sturdy enough to make pastry.

Will this really scrape the edges of the pan or Corningware to scoop food out? Everything else I have is too thick .

No…it shouldn’t scratch. It’s soft enough to not scratch yet firm enough to scoop around edges.

Are these spoons really heavy duty, sturdy and don't bend easily??

Yes, these utensils are sturdy. They don’t bend. I use them to prevent scratches on my non-stick skillet.

Can this also work as a soup ladle or is it too shallow?

Hi….it can be used as a ladle, but not practical…it’s a bit too shallow.
