LevitonDecora Digital Dimmer Switch for Dimmable LED, Halogen and Incandescent Bulbs, DDL06-1LZ, White

I bought this to control a 24W LED bedroom ceiling light. Control range is excellent, varying smoothly from dim candle light to daylight. But unfortunately, there is a bright green LED below the switch rocker that illuminates when the fixture is turned off. I can literally read by unwanted glowI tried to mask this with carefully placed electric tape, but the entire ring around the switch rocker still glows bright enough to interfere with normal night-time sleep.By resorting to reading the fine print on the backside of the installation guide, i learned the programming steps to make all the LEDs, including my bright green nemesis, to turn off after 5 seconds. I have made peace with the control and bumped my rating to 5-star.

This item number (DDL06-1LZ) is compatible with Apple Homekit. If you have a different smart home system you'll need a different Leviton part number.It is really cool to say "Hey Siri, set dining room light to half brightness" and it happens instantly.Be sure to read the instructions carefully when installing, especially if you have a 3-way situation. I have a number of Leviton smart switches and they all work flawlessly. A couple of them shipped with old firmware and would not respond to an iPhone running ios 14 to perform the setup. Using an ipad instead worked fine. Once enrolled with the ipad, the firmware was updated and then it worked with the iphone and the rest of the Apple smart home.

This dimmer works very well with LED bulbs, and the coordinating remotes are great. If you have older Levition Vizia dimmers/remotes, this product is a direct replacement and solves the problem of ghosting LEDs with the older product. There is one minor flaw, however: the rocker arm toggle on the right side of the switch frequently pops out of position into "air gap" mode, however I have found a workaround. You need to tweak the wallplate so it buts up tightly against the right hand side of the switch, leaving a slight gap on the left hand side (see my photo). This provides support for the toggle assembly and helps prevents the plastic from flexing outwards and popping out of position during use. This is a design flaw on Leviton's part, as they designed the switch face about a millimeter too narrow. They should design a modified switch face that addresses this issue.

Handful of features to choose from during install/set-up, including, max brightness/dim, speed of dim, led indicators on/off etc.. I've used Leviton zwave switches in rooms where I want 'connected' functionality. These unconnected digital dimmers look the same on the wall as the zwaves (they have rocker dimmer not a slider). They don't run hot like the non-digital slider dimmers do. Takes-up a bit more space in wall box than the Leviton non-digital dimmers.

This is NOT the Bluetooth enabled dimmer it is describing. Didn’t confirm until after installation although suspected it because no Bluetooth markings on any packaging or instructions. It wasn’t a deal breaker as the Bluetooth would have been nice but not essential. The dimmer itself works well and we are pleased with it. However, the product description, video and Q&A are not accurate.

My installer wasn't able to install this until a month later. It was defective and it had already passed the time frame to return the item. I'm out $35

works good but if used in a 3 way configuration be sure you have enough wires for your specific application as these switches need their own power and neutral along with a wire to transmit a signal to another switch and then finally out to the lights. in my case I needed 4 wires to get the power where it needed to go.

Tried the Leviton model with the add-on switch and it was ok but better control with dimming from both switches. If using with ST go to the developer site and download the code so you have complete control.

Very easy to install after watching the online Leviton videos and no buzzing. Took me a bit to understand that the adjustment level is a set and forget setting. The lights can be raised to one preset level. Although the preset level can be changed - this is not as easy as a dial. But my dial dimmers have all buzzed. This dimmer does not buzz - which is a huge positive to me.

Hooked everything up, but didn't work. Returned it. Could've been a dud, but ordered a different type of dimmer (non-digital) and it worked.

Installation was so easy, but when I turned on the switch it started buzzing. When turn off - sound disappear. It is so annoying to hear that sound. Can’t return - too late for thisIs it possible to exchange it?
