Empire of Sin: An Enemies to Lovers Romance

Knox and Jane are a couple of my favorites from Rina Kent's world. Both are very intense, but for different reasons. I loved how as unapologetic Knox is about basically everything he does, he does indeed have a couple soft spots for the right reasons. Both are trying to forge their own lives very different from how they grew up. Their interactions at work and away from work were pretty intense. As they get to know one another, they discover the other isn't as bad as they originally thought. There's plenty of heat between Knox and Jane, but there's also a gritty and horrible story both these characters endure. Knox's dirty talking game is seriously on point. I found myself rewinding quite a few times. Growly John Hartley is a favorite aural gift he shares.John Hartley and Vanessa Edwin did a wonderful job narrating. John has quickly elevated to my top 5 male narrators. He's a wonderful actor, and all the voices he brings to life are truly a gift.

Knox and Ana are awesome! Glad I was able to read Knox's story! I really loved how he became a lawyer who took cases similar to Sandra's. He became better. I absolutely loved it, although I must admit I was expecting a bit more darkness - not to say there wasn't enough but I guess from prevoius books I have felt more (does that make sense?). Either way I still enjoyed this book a ton!Thank you, Rina Kent and team, for this amazing book! Can't wait to read more awesomeness!

Knox Van Doren and Anastasia (Jane) Sokolov are the main characters. He is the hot shot and brilliant Manhattan lawyer and she is the Bratva princess who is a runaway from home and in her rebellious way, wanted to have a “one night stand”. They met at the bar and having the man for the night, they spent the night together without knowing her except her first name Anastasia. She left the hotel room before he woke up to find her gone. He’s challenged and determined to find this beautiful blue eyed blond who made an impression out of him. This is an amazing love story with lots of twists, secrets, betrayal and steamy sex.

Anastasia was looking to break free from her oppressive life and make a choice from herself. She decides she is going to leave her old life behind and she's starting with having a one-night stand. Knox sees the beautiful ice blonde sitting at the bar and decides he needs to ha e her, but she disappears the morning after their night together. The next time he sees her she looks very different with her dyed hair, colored contacts and thick glasses. She insists she isn't Anastasia, her name is Jane and she just started in the IT department of the law firm where Knox is a junior partner. Knox can't get her off his mind and he plans on finding out who she really is. Will Anastasia's past find her first and threaten what she is building with Knox?

Empire of Sin was an entertaining and spicy romance book with the opposites attract trope.I definitely enjoyed this book a lot more than Empire of Desire. The story and characters were just more likable and intriguing.This is the second book in the Empire series but can be read as a standalone. The main characters of this book were also supporting characters in the Royal Elite series and Throne duet, but it’s not necessary to read those before starting this one.It is dual POVs of the main characters and has an office and mafia romance as well. I do suggest checking the trigger warnings before reading as there are some sensitive and dark content.The overall story was enjoyable but there was a lot of repetitive dialogue and slow moving moments. I will say though, the secondary characters were absolutely hilarious and definitely one of my favorite aspects of the story.The main characters, Knox and Anastasia were great. I loved how possessive, and obsessed Knox was with her. Their relationship was just very spicy, intense and passionate.The conflict and confrontation at the end was somewhat of a letdown. The whole situation was just too lackluster, as Knox and the Bravata came to an agreement too quickly even though Anastasia had made it seem like a big issue.The ending and epilogue was nice and I liked the teaser for the next book in the series.Overall, just an entertaining and smutty read.

Everything I wanted in a book and more! Loved every minute of this book and would highly recommend to all book lovers

Dopo una notte di passione, decide di cambiare totalmente il tuo aspetto, per scappare dal suo passato. Lei è esperta di informatica, riesce a procurarsi un lavoro in un grosso studio di avvocati, ma scopre che uno dei partner principali non è altro che la sua avventura sessuale.

Por fin tuve la conclusión de dos series distintas de que había pasado con knox y con Anastacia así que si eres fan de los otros libros lo recomiendo

6/5 stars.This was my first Rina Kent book and I regret the fact that it took me so long to read one,First off this starts with a bang, literally, and I can’t resist a book that starts like that. I just can’t.That chapter was sexy, 🔥 🥵 and the chemistry? Off the charts!Knox seams like an a-hole, I mean he kind of is but there’s more to him than what you see in the surface and that darkness that we see looming above him was my undoing… His past was dark and twisted and seeing his sister also in it broke me a little but Knox is a fighter, through and through.Anastasia was an interesting character to me, she was a mystery, kind of, because we had some hints that her family was Bratva but nothing else.She was meek but at the same time fierce, she was weak but also so strong and her ability to see Knox’s demons was ultimately what made me a sucker for her. She had ultimatums thrown her way and instead of pick option A or B she decided to take matters into her hands and chose option C. That option C opened the float gates for me and also my rage on behalf of Knox because I hate/love when things like this happens.Their relationship and chemistry was so deep, they were so understanding of each other that you could feel it through the pages and their love you could see it happening and feel it and the Knox we saw at the beginning? He is no more. His growth was significant, him realizing what he had with Anastasia was the best thing to ever happened to him was everything. Anastasia was the light to his darkness and the only way he could be apart was if he was dead and he proved it in everything he did. I truly love his personality and the fact that he gives no f***s to anyone specially the ones in positions of power, you gotta love that.Their sexy time was that, sexy. Knox is a dirty talker and oh my did I love it. The seggg was 🔥, 🥵, so explosive and emotional at times and I LOVED it in case it wasn’t clear before.Thank god my book bestie was there to let me talk through my feelings throughout this book. She is a massive Rina Kent’s fan and she helped me understand the others characters involved in this story.Speaking of those, seeing them interact with each other and their group text message just makes me wanna read their books so bad so that’s one of my missions this year, working through Kent’s backlist because honestly I’ve been missing out on awesomeness!I can’t wait to read more books by this author.

Knox and Anastasia saved the series LOL. I'm sorry, I'm still side-eyeing Empire of Desire because what a hill was that with the I'm not a good girl, I'm a bad girl thing LOLstop remembering that, Sam.I'm going to be honest, I wasn't expecting Knox and Anastasia to end up together like I think I was caught off guard when it was revealed that Jane was her, omg Rina I love you. So, yes, I actually was hyping with Vladimir and Anastasia but, always trust Rina to change your mind because these two were FIRE.We know Knox from the RES series and though I wasn't very interested in his character, this book totally changed my mind. I love him so much omg. He was dirty, damaged, and obsessed - okay not the best trails out there, ha! But at least he got character.Anastasia Sokolov was a good heroine. I like that she didn't cower and gave as much as she received from Knox and it was a chef kiss. She sometimes annoyed me with her secrets and all like come ON girl, just tell him the truth and THE scene omg even though it was a misunderstanding, the scene with Daniel got me screaming lol because best boy Knox was hurt.The pace of the book was kinda fast, I wish there were more cozy scenes between them because I'm a sucker a those, and good dirty sex. Sue me.Now, the book was a win because the characters actually connected and were fire together BUT also because Rina DID gave us crumbs from our favourites characters:Do you want a taste of Damien and Mio? You go it girl, but just a small taste. Do you miss Sasha and Kirill? LOL I got you back. Wanna know about Ethan and his LI? HA! Bish you didn't see that one coming, or maybe yes ;) What about the RES guys? Bish don't you dare. But the most important, Daniel Sterling and his blonde aka Nicole Adler, because I'm betting my saving that she is the heroine. Trust me, you don't want to miss the last scene.That said, I CANT wait for Empire of Hate because Daniel and Nicole are seriously going to serve so hard because of angst, obsessed with each other, angry sex, and jealous scenes for both because they are fup, and crazy, and possessive, BOI! I'm waiting!!I'm also expecting some crumbs from Kingsley and Aspen for their book Empire of Lust, because they are also going to serve Enemies to Lovers, both hot characters, more angry sex, and hopefully possessive H because all the shit of 'I hate this witch', yeah... he is going to eat it lolThe book is pretty much safe.Virgin-hNo OW and just a bit of OM - Knox just does ONS and it was mentioned that he has shared the same woman with Daniel, as in not just one time lol. As for OM, Knox misunderstood a scene that involves Anastasia and Daniel and things got heated, and there is also her fiancé that doesn't really cause drama.Kinky, dirty sex.HEA
