it works fine
our old surround sound CD system doesn't support HDMI but it works fantastic so I see no reason to throw it out and spend hundreds to buy a new one... this little gadget worked great to convert so our system would work with our wireless projector set-up.Buy it... it doesn't cost much and works.

Disappointed
The product works well, but I was disappointed to discover that it needed to be connected to power to work. A power cord for this purpose was included but is not shown in the advertised image of the product.
