Let’s Get Ready for School

This is such an adorable book, I bought copies for everyone I know with kids starting school. It prepares kids for their first day at school, going through any anxieties they may have and being reassuring. Beautiful illustrations.

Another fabulous book intuitively written by Jane Porter with added feelings, details and questions children have when starting school. I love how she has used a collection of different characters and personalities through out the book and how they may feel in different situations. Charmingly illustrated by Carolina Rabei, it's a fantastically sensitive yet incredibly informative book for all children just about to start school.

A helpful, up to date (it mentions Golden Time, which many schools do) book to read to children before they start school. A great complement to Starting School, by Janet and Allan Ahlberg, which my children loved to have as a story before starting Reception class.
