Is your PitBoss Verticle Smoker not working - turning off before finished?
You might be inclineg to think your controller is no longer working correctly. That likely isn't the problem. This temperature sensor is most likely the cause. If it fails, it throws your controller into an Error mode.If you know how to use a Multi Meter, check for a closed circuit (which is what you should want. An OL code result indicates an inoperative temperature sensor (broken).If you don't have access to a Multi Tester, than semsor is the first thing to replace.Go to YouTube for videos on how to test and replace this.

Control panel on pit boss was only showing 32 degrees no matter what. Was told needed control panel replaced for $167, tried this instead smoked working great now!

Mounting configuration.
The description states i5 ic compatible with a series 3.. this prob is meant to moubpnt through the oven wall. My series 3 copperhead mounts inside the oven on a 90 degree angle mount.This item is not plug and play with the series 3 copperhead, without modification.
