Loved it!
I couldn't put this book down until I finished reading it. Although most of the accounts have been told before, to see it all laid out, chronologically, it was easy to see what a horrible childhood Michael had.I'm glad he was able to make his own way and happiness as an adult, although the hurt never left him.

Keep Smiling
The book was 32 yrs old with yellowed pages and disintegrating. This should have been a dollar book

I finally finished it and am so glad I was able to get it. It gives a different perspective on his life since it is written from his point of view, which is what makes it so unique. There are multiple biographies written about him, even one by his step daughter, but never one in is point of view.I learned many things I didnโt know about him in this book and to be honest, it makes him seem more human. Of course I know Michael Landon was human but because of the fact that I always associate him with his characters, I tend to forget that he was his own person with deep emotions and feelings. To me heโs Little Joe Cartwright on Bonanza, Charles Ingalls on Little House, and Jonathan Smith on Highway to Heaven, but the way this book is written it makes you realize he was so much more than that. He was Michael Landon, a man scarred by his horrific childhood and who dealt with many emotional struggles as he made his way up in the television industry. Of course I donโt agree with everything that he did because he wasnโt a saint in the least, yet he was human.S.G. Lehrer is an extremely talented writer and her book deserves more attention. The writing is so smooth and has such a nice flow that you get drawn into the story very easily. If youโre a Michael Landon fan, this is something you should look into buying! If I could, Iโd give this book more than five stars!!!

Sad
I've read 5 chapters and it is so sad about his childhood. And his mothers mental problems. The way he was treated at home and school tears your heart out.
