Very nice little unit, battery powered, perfect for Facebook Live broadcasts with real mics.
The media could not be loaded. Yeah, it's a little cheesy and not really studio capable. BUT - in a pinch for a remote broadcast or Facebook Live stream with real microphones, this thing is the bomb! One 9V battery (not included) ran about six hours and provided just the right volume for my jacked-up Facebook Live stream for our live radio broadcast. We had two Shure mics for the guests, so we needed two inputs. This has four. Better more than less! And it sounded AMAZING. You can't hear people with the built-in iPad or smartphone mic, so this Nady allows you to use real mics. Looks much more professional too. No hiss, no audible noise, and plenty of volume. The price is right too. Nice work, Nady. Highly recommend.

Works great
I used the mixer to mix my vocal mic and guitar. I set the amp tone to work for my voice and then use the guitar tone controls to suit. I haven’t had volume or sound quality issues. I use an SM58 mic with an XLR to 1/4” adapter for the connection to the mixer.

Non standard power supply
The input for 9 volt power is too small to fit a standard "1 spot" or Boss style 9 volt adapter into. The manual doesn't list any recommended manufacturers or the diameter that the plug needs to be.

It is a 4 mono input on a 1 mono output. I bought it to connect my Korg Volcas when playing outdoors, I guess it should be ok for guitars alsoPROS:Portable and battery powered, it can be used in every outdoor situationCONS:The noise is rather persistantstatic noise when touched by fingersLow gain (low output level)Not enough gain to use it for microphonesActually this little mixer is a toy, I dont recomend it for recording purposes. For this price is just ok

Good For My Modest Needs - Recommended
This Nady "4-Channel Mini Mixer" is exactly what we needed for bringing in 3 low-end wireless microphones into our video camera that only has one microphone input jack. Here are my observations:Pros -+ Clean Sound, no noise or distortion+ Small Size, 2.5"H x 6"W x 4.5"D+ Battery Powered, takes 9v like my mics so I just replace all of them at the start of a shoot+ Good Quality, the control knobs and connectors all feel well made and "substantial"Cons -- Case had sharp edge on one corner, which I fixed with a small file in about two minutesMisc -* Also can be used with a 9v power supply, but it is not includedThis was a fairly inexpensive solutions for my modest requirements and I am very pleased with the performance.Recommended!CFH

Nice 20db boost, no problems.
I bought this to plug multiple instruments into a battery powered amp for busking/gigging with no AC power. It does just what I needed and runs on a 9v battery with no noise or issues. The added gain is just enough for my acoustic instruments, which use piezo pickups. I haven't used it enough to test battery life, but I think it will probably last as long as my amp does between charges. The pots are all smooth and the unit is solidly built. For what I wanted, it's exactly the right tool and works with no problems. If you're doing studio work or need super low noise levels, etc., you don't need to be shopping for $25 mixers.

Other reviewers are correct
If this did nothing more than consistently mix volume levels this device would be of value. However, as noted by other reviewers, it sometimes actually LOWERS volume levels and reduces tone levels. Here are my experiences:* Despite being powered by a 9v battery, it doesn't seem to work with condenser mics at all.* I tried to use it to moderate the volume (or even increase it, considering it's powered) of my passive-pickup classical guitar. While it sent the signal through and did control the volume (to an extent), it actually lowered the overall guitar volume and clarity. The guitar actually performed better when jacked straight into the amp.* Hooking up a self-powered condenser mic to this unit resulted in distortion and "clipped" sound.* Several users report hooking this up to a stereo output results in one of the channels being cut. That's inexcusably bad design. Although advertised as a mono unit-- it should still play the same sound through both channels. This one flaw alone places this unit on the Z list of equipment. So basically, all this is good for is... uh.. well, I can't think of anything it would be good for on a practical basis. Using a non-condenser mic and standard electric guitar? (dunno, I don't own one). Whatever, it is extremely limited in function and even when it does work, it tends to lower and distort the original signal.I rarely compare one product with another, but to be perfectly honest the Behringer 302 or 502 mini-mixer-- although more than double the cost-- is greatly superior to this unit and would be worth the extra money, since both models serve as preamps and have phantom power supply. Significantly more versatile than this unit-- which doesn't even perform the limited function it's supposed to perform. It's a shame. If this unit actually worked as a versatile mini-mixer, the portability would make it very useful for street performers. As its stands, I honestly don't know why they even produced the thing. I had high hopes for this device, but I'm sorry to say the low reviews on this product are accurate.Believe the negative reviews. This is a poorly-designed, badly-performing product. As with many others here-- I'm still looking for a decent, basic-function battery-powered mini-mixer. We don't need much; plug in three or four devices, individual volume controls (tone would be nice but not essential), preamp the output, provide phantom power for condenser mikes. If no one in the USA can seem to do this, anyone in CHINA listening? ;D
