This product has taken the back ache out of digging the garden.TBH I was not expecting much from this product because it was cordless and relatively inexpensive.The item arrived well packed, it required minimal assembly. Instruction manual was OK.After charging the battery I was chaffing at the bit to use it.Well I was not dissapointed!The teeth ripped through the soil like a knife through butter. Very surprised by the powerful motor and strong bladesIt coped well with relatively thick roots, ripping through them. Though some got stuck in the blades ( I am sure this would be the same for all makes of cultivators).It took one or two passes to give a fine graded soil.I have notice that it takes an extra pass or two to penetrate heavily baked soil.The rotavator only goes down about 5 or 6 cm.If you want a deeper cut perhaps an electric full sized rotavator is what you require.This is a small sized rotavator that can deliver a perfect soil grade In tight spaces.Yes I would recommend this product.No more back aches digging the garden for meOne year update!May 2023.Still happy with this tiller but because the tiller is light weight some times pressure has to be applied to tiller to stop it just running over the top of the soil which results in the hand support on the stem tends to twist under pressure.That said as an occasional use tiller, absolutely brilliant.

The machine is lightweight and easy to use. It is indeed a very handy tool for allotments or garden. There is not much to do in terms of assembly. Like many other reviewers noted, the battery lasts about 20 minutes and it takes a few hours to recharge. There is a design issue in that the lockable hand grip do not lock well. It gets loose quickly and hence unusable. The handgrip is important because you need to hold it and push it down for efficient tilling. I have to hold down the long shaft firmly to get the work done. This works fine but the handle would have been much better.

Despite looking a bit flimsy in the photographs, this is quite substantial. I have a petrol-driven tiller for demanding work, but I wanted this one to break down the soil on my smaller raised beds. It comes ready-assembled and operation is simple. Battery charged in around 3 hours from scratch. I worked continuously for over 20 minutes without exhausting it. I tackled my small beds, ran it around the edges of some larger ones and used it to weed between a few rows of vegetables. As with all cordless stuff, you have to organise your work to suit its limited range, but it performed well enough. (I should mention that when I opened my package, I discovered that Amazon had mistakenly sent me an electric pole saw instead of the tiller. However, the returns process was quite painless, with next-day replacement delivery/collection.)

Very pleased with this product, save me a lot of hard work when weeding,cutting into solid soil.
