The heartbeat is a little weird but the purring isn't bad but if I wanted to take it out it's easy and not attached to anything. I love that the whole thing is machine washable once you take out the heating pad and sound machine. My cat loves it and is always playing and cuddling with it! She found it really weird at first and stayed away from it the first few days but then I found her cuddling up to it for warmth one night and she looked so comfy and happy. :) Pretty good for the price! It's slightly bigger than her and I think she likes that but overall pretty much the same size. She grooms it sometimes and it's so cute so it's pretty durable considering she licks and bites it while playing sometimes. She's a happy kitty :)

I used this for my cat when she went in for her spay/neuter surgery to calm her&for the ride there,it helped her out a lot,highly recommend this to keep your cat very calm.

OK, my kitty likes it. It is soft and the purr is comforting. Heartbeat a little odd but to a cat, probably fine. The Velcro is solid, in fact it is so sturdy and it is ripping off the body of the cat. So I am having to make an adjustment. Now for the real problem. I bought this as a comfort animal for orphaned kittens that need to be bottle fed. They also need the comfort of a cat. The fact that I can warm something in the micro and the cat purrs is great. But because the designer decided to sew two hind legs on one side, (or more likely, these are seconds which were made wrong) so there is no stomach for a kitten to curl up to.Thus, the purpose for which I bought this guy is not going to work very well. So I would advise, buyer beware, depending on why you are buying this product.

Its a good product, but the batteries die fast. The cons are its not soft, wish it was just a bit louder and batteries don't last long. Pros cat is cute and does its job.

We recently moved, and my cat was having anxiety and trouble sleeping. I thought this would be perfect for him, however it is quite junky. At first glance, it’s very cute! But when you take it out of the box, it’s made very oddly. It has a weird Velcro strap and the one leg is sewn on there very strangely. I think it might supposed to look like it’s in a laying down position, but it just looks deformed or something. I could have overlooked all of that, but the sound box wouldn’t stay on for more than 30 seconds. So, sadly, that was enough for me to put it all back in the box and send their junk back to them.

This is the best thing for kittens when you bring them home. My kitty Oliver took to this the minute I turned it on fell asleep right away. He was 6 wks old I would of preferred to pick him up at 8 weeks but the owner was going to give birth in a couple days. I was worried about him missing his mama and siblings but, with the heart beat and purring he ac;imated without a hitch...

Update! I took a chance and got a replacement. Found out that the original one I was sent was someone else’s reject. My replacement was brand new, in a sealed box. I thought I would have a problem with the battery pack again but was finally able to open it. Loaded it up with the battery box and the heat pack. My cat was curious about his new companion. But he thought the kitty that was purring was under the HuggieKitty and was trying to find it by digging underneath the kitty. Finally he settled down and perched himself next to HuggieKitty, both of them purring away. I think this item is a great idea with poor execution. It is not odor free. The heat pack reeks! The material used for the body is cheaply made. The battery box is poorly designed with that weird screw you don’t actually need. The recording of the purr is fine but the heartbeat is a mass of static. It is cute, though, and my cat has shown some interest in it. Looks good in the cat bed that my real cat refuses to sleep in. So i guess I’ll keep it and see how it goes.I was excited to get this for my cat. But right out of the box it was broken. Couldn’t get the screw out of the battery box so I could open it and add batteries. It just spins in place. Sending it back.

In the difficult final days with my sick cat, I was looking for something to bring her comfort and came across this HuggieKitty. As she lost weight and became more sick, she became more susceptible to feeling cold and because she couldn't cuddle with her brothers as she normally would, this companion kept her warm and provided the comfort she needed. The simulated purring and heartbeat sound worked like magic, soothing her and helping her fall asleep. This was really helpful during a difficult time ❤

Was disappointed to discover we cannot put batteries in the purring part because the screw is stripped and it will not open.

Unfortunatly, my cat ignored it and still kept waking me up
