Lots of lovely stones ! Very well loved and a great option for an advent calendar ! My son was really excited to see what special stone he got everyday ! Great value and fun

The kids (10 years old) absolutely loved this. They were excited everyday to open it up and the stones were very nice.

Great idea for a advent calendar, 24 gems, the last one has to be “digged”.

Was a really good calendar. Kids really enjoyed opening it and finding gems each day. There was a little disappointment that they didn't get all the ones shown and had a couple of doubles.The dig out on the 24th looked great but our gem was just under the surface at the very top of it so was out after about 4 scrapes and we were just left with the rest of itWould still buy again. Was still worth the money and was still enjoyed

I read the reviews before I made the purchase. Although there are mixed reviews, I took a leap of faith as my son is obsessed with minerals and stones, and there’re really not many other choices out there apart from some cheap knock off brands from China, so I made my purchase purely based on my trust in the brand itself. It didn’t disappoint and quite frankly it’s the best advent calendar I’ve bought over the years! The stones are in good sizes, beautifully polished and lovely to touch. ( child friendly!) There’s a detailed description for each stone along with some very easy to understand facts. I don’t think my son would ever want a chocolate calender ever again as this is far more interesting. I have to say this one even beats his annual Star Wars Lego calendar as I have found him rushing to it first thing every morning. I’d highly recommend this to any parents whose children have a passion in minerals.

Bought this for my 12 year old daughter who has been interested in a gemstone advent calendar for the past couple of years. We’ve seen a lot of fake National Geographic calendars, where the makers imitate this company’s colours on their box design but reviews suggested the specimens were tiny and poor. When we saw this official National Geographic calendar, we took the plunge and could not be happier.The box itself has factual information about the gemstones and a lot of the stones were really good sized. A small bag is provided to store the stones in, but the bag was full by the time we had opened half the calendar. Maybe National Geographic should include either two bags or one that is two or three times as large as the current bag provided? Luckily we had another bag for storing the remaining stones. There are also some accessories for making jewellery but we haven’t used those yet.We got this when we noticed the price had dropped a few pounds. But we were so happy with the contents, this is one of the few advent calendars we would be happy to get full price. My daughter loved this calendar and said it was her favourite advent calendar from the past few years.

My daughter was fairly happy with this calendar. She loves gems and this delivered fairly well.We found that some of the gems were quite poor representations, third picture. The Tiger’s Eye was particularly bad, first picture. We also had two green stones that do not seem to be Jade or Green Adventurine, which were the two we did not seem to have, pictured top of second photo.If you mediate your expectations, it’s fairly good.
