Good story
I find the main character easy to identify with and the story is fast paced. I'm interested to see how the author keeps the pace in the second book.

Tess has me really long day
She wakes up with no memory, a bullet hole and a couple of dead vampires. A half vampire/warlock beats down her door looking for answers. He’s not friendly in his questioning. While she manages to escape, things don’t get better. With the help of her Navigator she’ll maybe manage to survive all the bad guys looks for her. First, she’s got to remember who she is and what’s going on.

Bang!
Starts with a bang, and ends with one, too! Waking up next to a dead vampire with no memory is only the start of this rollicking adventure 💜

New meanings to death and life!
The main character, is a Spirit walker. This is so rare, she may be the only one remaining. She can the dad's memories opening up a plethora of possibilities. She's ex police and a tough, savvy character. A very good read. I'll definitely be reading the next book.

An Excellent Story
I loved this book! The plot is easily followed, the action and progression of the story blasted off from the beginning and the characters were interesting and even more so as the story progressed. I definitely recommend this book.

A good read
I enjoyed this story. It is based on different premises that kept me interested to the very end. I will be reading more of the series!

Undecided
Mild spoilers alert! The beginning of the story, with the hero suffering from amnesia is a tad unoriginal, and to be honest, very irritating. Ironically, I couldn't remember the hero's name anytime I put the book down. The author is trying to build tension but really, I just wanted it done with. The book as a whole was fairly well written, although the dialogue needs work, but it's intrigued me enough to try book 2. And the leather cat suit gag is quite funny.

Rushed but good potential
There’s the makings of a really good story here. But it just fell short for me by being too rushed - like I was reading on fast forward. The small details to really build up the world and give backstory weren’t there. For example, no detail on how she was suspected of being a soulwalker before being set up, it happens the same time. What happened over the past year is relayed by other characters in short recaps, it felt forced. The story unfolds over a single day that’s jam packed with events and if done well you can feel the high intensity/fast pace but still get the detail along the way. This book unfortunately didn’t manage to achieve that balance for me.

Not for me
Got 30% through before I gave up. Can’t say I cared for any character particularly. The story is written in a fast snappy fashion but tbh I just found it a tad irritating with the actual plot development slow.
