Has all of the right characteristics for its purpose
I've used a number of different strobes and this is quickly becoming my favorite this far. First, it's sufficiently bright enough for its purpose. FAA regs state that anti-collision strobes need to be visible for at least 3 statute miles. This, just like a few others certainly meet this characteristic. What's also nice is that the case has some basic lensing built in to improve the emission angle, offering a wider coverage. This is a nice improvement over the models that just have the bare LED dies sitting on a board.Second, this unit has an honest-to-goodness enclosure. Nothing wrong with the shrink-coated boards, but the enclosure lends to a better mounting condition and ease of use. It also manages to do so without a huge weight penalty. Another novel feature are the rubber band/cable tie points on the side. Want to experiment first? Not interested in relying on Velcro and pressure-sensitive adhesive for mounting? This is really an underrated, yet simple feature. It works great on most prop arms, and I would imagine something could be devised to go around the fuselage if you wanted to as well.Lastly, it seemed like the batteries on the Firehouse lights never did a good job of holding a charge more than a week. While there was more than ample time for flight, it seemed like you had to make a point to charge them up before use because they usually went dead in storage. I have to say that my first of this brand seems to be holding a charge quite well after at least a month since charging. Added bonus is that this model also uses the newer USB-C connector instead of the now-depreciated USB-micro connector.FAA regs says that the lights need to be either white or red. I prefer to go with the white strobe, though Iwish that it would do 2 or 3 very quick, successive flashes in the pattern to be a little more eye-catching. I don't use the green, but could see this being useful if you wanted a brighter attitude marker. One other feature that I'd like to see in the future is a reduced intensity for the first minute, or the ability to put the strobe into standby for up to 60 seconds (e.g. flash the low-intensity blue LED to show standby delay). That way, it can be setup and activated, but doesn't go into full blinding mode (killing your night vision) until you get a chance to get the aircraft flight started (you'd momentarily wait for the strobe to fully activate before ascending). All in all, this seems to be the best offering thus far for an anti-collision strobe. I plan to get a couple more for my other airframes.

Works great! Now I can fly night operations!!
The media could not be loaded. This HeiyRC Drone Strobe Light significantly enhances my night time drone-flying experiences, making it a must-have accessory for my DJI Mini 3 drone setup. Its impressive brightness and user-friendly design make it indispensable for those looking to perform their night flight operations. The brigjtness of the light from this compact device is amazing! It ensures my DJI Mini 3 is highly visible in low-light conditions, transforming each night flight into a worry free experience. Despite its small size, the light's intensity far exceeds expectations, providing unparalleled visibility. The Velcro attachment system stands out as a major advantage. This method of securing the strobe light to the drone is incredibly straightforward and efficient. It's a hassle-free solution that securely fastens the light without leaving any sticky residue on the drone or affecting its aerodynamic performance. It also includes tabs and elastic bands to attach it to the drone without the use of tape or velcro. These thoughtful mounting options speaks volumes about its user-centric approach. The resilience of the HeiyRC Mini 3 Drone Strobe Light is also commendable. It has endured a couple rough landings without any issues, demonstrating its superior build quality. Operating the light is a breeze, making it a user-friendly option for drone pilots of any skill level. In my opinion the HeiyRC Mini 3 Drone Strobe Light is a top-tier budget friendly choice for enhancing the visibility of your drone during night flights. Its ease of installation and robust performance make it an exceptional addition to any drone enthusiast's collection, all without breaking the bank. I wholeheartedly give it five stars and strongly recommend it to anyone looking to improve their drone flying experience.

Best Drone Strobes I have Owned.
All my previous strobes have been Firehouse tech. Those have an excellent reputation but are much more expensive many models are just the circuit board and battery shrink wrapped together. Then you have to look to Etsy for 3D printed mounts etc.I like these better. The units I got came in well-designed clear plastic cases with lensing that spreads the light around so even mounted on the back of the DJI Mini Pro 3 I was able to see the flashing when flying the drone back well before it was overhead from the front.Power level indicator and charging indicators are good.Uses USB C to charge to can use same cable as remote. The brightest color is white, perfect for FAA required Anti Collision lighting. But you could also use them as navigation lights because they include red and green combos. They ARE VERY BRIGHT. The strobe even in daytime turning it on leaves spots in my eyes and before sunset I could see it against the blue sky clearly the half mile, I flew my drone. Base on my Firehouse ARC experience I would guess these are going to be seen at night the FAA requirements. If the Mini 3 pro were not so small, I would buy more. One on the back of bottom for daytime spotting and one on top after sunset for FAA regs and I am good.Priceincluded many Velcro pairs and rubber bands so ready to mount.Light bending case to give 180 deg+ coverage.BrightnessOnly drawback is if you need to be under 249G for regulations, these are not heavy but no good camera drone I know has 15-20G to give. If you can fly a drone over 249G I would run all flights with these for the added visibility.
