Cyxus Blue Light Blocking [Lightweight TR90] Glasses for Anti Eye Strain Headache Computer Use Eyewear, Men/Women (TR90 blue)

I was skeptical about these glasses but figured that for $20, it was worth it to give them a shot. I'm glad I did. My eyes are much less tired and itchy now. The glasses are also really good-looking and not as large as some of the other ones. These look more like reading glasses, which I really like. I've gotten a few compliments on them. I'm adding a picture so you can see the size of the glasses when worn.

Invest in sturdier frames/glasses instead of these.I've suffered from migraines for most of my life, but this year I started having them daily near or after the end of my work day.I tried increasing my water intake, eating small healthy snacks more frequently to stabilize my blood sugar, increasing my break time away from my 3 monitors, etc. None of it helped. A friend mentioned that maybe eye strain was the cause and suggested I look into blue light blocking glasses.I purchased these cheap plastic glasses in July 2018 with no expectations.The carrying case is nice, albeit minutely crooked.The cleaning cloth a nice size and is convenient.The blue laser light (not pictured) included for testing the glasses was broken, so I just had to wear the glasses and hope for the best.Despite my skepticism, I wore them all day at work. They were comfortable enough that I forgot to take them off a few times when I went home. Surprisingly, after a few days the migraines stopped!In the past 2 months I've only suffered through 2 migraines! One migraine a month is much better than 5 migraines a week.I'm sold on these cheap plastic glasses because they work. I'll be buying a second pair to use at home so I won't need to transport the glasses back and forth. I don't want to risk breaking these seemingly-fragile glasses.The tips are removable and show that the glasses actually do have some metal in them.EDIT December 3, 2018: After 4 months of almost daily use, one of the temple arms broke off at the hinge while I was wearing the glasses. I super-glued it back into place without issue. I would also like to add that the plastic lens is highly susceptible to smudges. That said, I haven't had a migraine since my original review so these glasses are fully serving their intended purpose.Edit: February 1, 2019: when I picked the glasses up off my desk this morning the frame broke in my hand! See the last picture. This is the second part of the glasses to break during the past 6 months of use! I hotglued the frame back together. You get what you pay for, but the blue light blocking function DOES work...Edit: April 16, 2019: the glasses have broken 2 more times since my last update. I had purchased a replacement pair of glasses at full price and they broke within a week! While all of the breaks have been repairable with some form of glue, I expect slightly more longevity. The plastic lenses still work to block blue light, but they don't do me much good if they can't be kept in front of my eyes. I decided to lower the rating to 2 out of 5.

I purchased these less than a month ago and the frame has already snapped. The best part of this break is I was actually wearing them at the time and the bed near the nose rest just snapped open. I've cared for these daily, cleaning them with only the cloth provided and ensuring I stored them in the provided case when not in use. The have never been dropped or mishandled, yet after light use and less than a month of wear they are now unwearable garbage. I'm certainly disappointed and hoping the other pair I ordered (because I initially liked these so much) don't wind up suffering the same fate.

The glasses arrived quickly thanks to Amazon Prime shipping, and came neatly and safely packaged. I was immediately impressed by the striking appearance and comfort; they felt and looked great. After wearing them for one long night of writing, YouTube, and video games, I want to say I noticed a marked decrease in eye strain from my lengthy time spent in front of my 32" LED monitor. In summary, the glasses look attractive, have no noticeable weight or discomfort, and seem to perform as described.That being said, you can imagine my disappointment when they literally BROKE ON MY FACE while wearing them on the SECOND NIGHT of ownership. I was just relaxing and reading an article when I heard a strange "pop" and realized it was the frame of the glasses snapping for no apparent reason while idly wearing them. I understand the price point on these glasses is quite low, but I still own my pair of $20 gas station sunglasses I bought nearly a decade ago, which remain unbroken to this day.If Cyxus is willing to send me out a replacement that manages to last for a reasonable amount of time, I'll amend this review. But until then, I have to recommend avoiding this brand in favor of a manufacturer that has a little more regard for build quality.*Edit* Cyxus reached out to me in response to my review, and offered to ship out a free replacement with no hassle other than providing my order number, address and phone number. I'm currently awaiting my replacement, but in the meantime I have to commend Cyxus on their excellent outreach and customer support.

The good:-Good quality for the price-The glasses are very comfortable for extended wear, which is a huge plus!-They do block SOME blue light-They look sleek and the packaging/case/cloth are great too, along with the blue light testerThe bad:-They are small lenses, I can see around them so I’m sure there is a lot of blue light my eyes still take in-They don’t block enough blue light, I compared them with a more expensive pair that my buddy has and his were much better for relieving eye strain and blocked a lot more blue light with the tester than this pair.

The glass itself is pretty good, don’t get me wrong. The only reason I vote 2 star is because of this quality. I was just going to walk to get a fruit, and then half way there, my frame broke all of the sudden. I mean I get it, it is 20 dollars product, but that easy to break when I’m simply walking??

Received these 2weeks ago and I did notice how lightweight they were but didn’t think they would break this fast. Very disappointed because they definitely did help with my mid afternoon headaches. It’s gonna be a long day for me and it’s month-end!
