Great for any TV anywhere
I needed a way to access my cable box that lives downstairs, in my bedroom when I was unwell. This fits the bill. It transmits both picture and sound well and I have been able to watch not only my recorded shows but also paid for services through my box and up to my room. Bearing in mind that this is an old house with very thick concrete block internal walls, that a concrete block chimney goes right up the middle and that I needed the transmitter to work diagonally from down to up I am very impressed. It occasionally needs a reboot, but then again, what doesn't in this digital age. It is easy to do with a switch on the back of the unit. It is neat and sits to the side of the TV inconspicuously. Would recommend.

Easy to install, clear picture and worth every penny
I bought this to watch sky from main room to a separate TV upstairs. There is no outside aerial in upstairs room but that doesn't matter. Literally plug in downstairs and same upstairs and it started running. Get perfect signal and can take control upstairs to change channel. Exactly what we wanted it for.

IR for remote does not work with virgin box or other items so avoid if this is driving your purchase
Hugely disappointing bought this because of the IR option either through the unit or the IR sensor but just would not work with my remotes at all and this was its selling point for me. I wondered if it was because it was a virgin box but my older and cheaper unit had no problems with the remote but sadly it stopped working after 6 years. The signal sender would not work with any of my devices. Picture sent to other TV from virgin box was brilliant. I can't fault that but if the IR issue is common to virgin or similar the seller should make it known. Will give it another try but seriously considering returning it. May just as well have bought the cheaper model without the IR option

Good over short distances, but it has its quirks.
Fairly easy to connect up, but the lag between sound and vision (especially when someone is speaking - lip sync) meant we had to buy better quality HDMI cables and though improved it still happens. Also, in snooker for example, rolling balls don't run smoothly. Probably the most annoying of all is that our satellite remote control causes our second TV in a different room to turn on. The only solution seems to be to unplug it. Frustratingly I haven't been able to determine what causes this (sorted - see below). However, having taken these into consideration, the picture and sound quality is far better than our previous video transmitter. Given that the transmitter and receiver are less than 10 metres apart, separated by a wood and glass partition, I doubt this equipment is suitable for transmission through a brick wall. Asked by Amazon to comment on "sheerness" I haven't a clue what this means.EDIT: If you plug the little control "mouse" into the socket on the transmitter and cover it to block the signal the remote TV no longer switches on.

4½STARS +Good Sound reproduction+Acceptable minimal lag between rooms but -occasional picture hiccup
Good Sound Quality reproduction, +Acceptable minimal time lag between rooms,Would have given 5 Stars but for the occasional image pixel hiccup = image streaming isn't smooth, and will jump to keep up with the sound streaming. ....For purists, this is irritating.... but if you are watching a film and get in to it, you don't really notice it. Guess upscaling wifi sender technology is subject to what ever the signal has to travel through, and other electrical interference fields.A Plus = Very happy with "magic eye" technology = allows you to control your Sky box in the other room, from your viewing room. Not cheap, but worth the money spent ~ happy with the product, as it does as promised. If you want 100% perfect transmission, do not buy this product. While i would like the reception to be better, i am happy with the picture reproduction, that i can watch a programme from a box in a different room, that i can control remotely.
