I am a woman in my mid-20s and have no affiliation whatsoever to Dr. Schulze. This was my first-ever cleanse. I actually decided to go with this cleanse because I studied Chinese medicine (face mapping) and saw that the parts on my face that corresponded to my acne (i.e. chin for hormones) were related to my kidneys. I knew acne has a lot to do with internal health and I resolved the long-term reason my skin wasn't getting better was because of my clogged, toxic kidneys. Anyway, I bought this detox on a whim and decided to try it out after I had it for a little while. I didn't see huge change with the Dr. Schulze Superfood tablets I took in the past, so was not sure how this detox would go. However, I knew Dr. Schulze products were powerful after using one Intestinal Formula #1 tablet before. (I didn't continue with that because it wasn't compatible with my lifestyle at the time.)I did a little bit of reading on kidney detoxes before this cleanse and felt quite excited. I hoped for the best with this cleanse, but wasn't sure how much all this formula and tea I'd be using would help me. OMG! I had a huge reaction to this detox. I learned it is common to get the "detox flu" while doing a detox and that is exactly what happened to me. On the third day of my cleanse, I got a full-on body fever and chills. I had a runny nose for a couple days and was very irritable at one point. This is because a lot of toxins, including toxic emotions, are stored in your kidneys. Your kidneys act as a filter and processor for many things in your system. Well, when you do a detox, a lot of these emotions can come out all at once and affect you. During the detox, these symptoms were of course not very fun and I experienced them partly because I am a beginner with detoxes who eats a mostly processed diet (which I'd like to one day change). Combined with the emotional component and being highly sensitive, it was a very powerful, strong detox for me. If you are similar and are serious about this detox, I suggest doing it if you have 5 free days. I knew if I were working at the time, I wouldn't be able to go through with it.It's been 4 days since the end of my detox. I no longer have a fever and have recovered from all the flu-like symptoms, though I am still working up to my optimum health. What is most amazing to me about this cleanse is the amount of energy I gained after it. It's like since a lot of those toxic emotions came out, I have more energy for life and have been experiencing much clarity I didn't have before. In the past several days, I am so happy and haven't experienced anything like this before. I don't guarantee you will have these same effects- it depends where you are in life- but if you are interested in doing this detox to open up spiritual clarity, I believe it can help. That was a bonus side effect I didn't know I would personally experience and am so thankful I did. This detox did not solve my acne like I had hoped, but because acne has a lot to do with emotions, it can aid in getting many emotional toxins out and giving you a foundation to help clear your skin.Onto the product itself, the tea tastes quite good and soothing. The Detox Formula is strong, but nothing unbearable. I had mine with organic cranberry juice which was somewhat bitter, but good for antioxidants and cleaning blood. Just use a little bit of juice rather than a whole cup. I didn't love the taste of the cayenne-lemon flush drink I had to drink every morning, but since it's something you drink after you get up before everything else, you quickly forget about it after going onto the next things you need to drink.For organic limes and lemons, maple syrup, and 2 jugs of non-concentrate cranberry juice that would last me the duration of this cleanse, the total came out to about $35 at Sprouts market. You may spend more or less. For me, it was somewhat of a hefty additional amount to spend which I wasn't too crazy about at first, but it was totally worth it. Take additional costs you may need to spend if you don't have the necessary ingredients on hand and are interested in this cleanse :-).Hope my review helped to anyone who is considering this product.

I bought this product because I was feeling some strange pains in my kidneys. I figured I had been drinking way too much soda, eating too much sugar and not drinking enough water. You know, all the things you SHOULDN'T be doing. I'm taking a health course (ironic, I know) and was recommended a different detox product from Dr. Schulze (I'll review that one when I'm finished with it). When I saw that the company offered a kidney detox, I was all in.It comes with the tea, that you have to soak (preferably in a steel pot) the night before you drink it. The next morning you prepare it as per the directions (along with the KB tincture). I didn't find the need to add Stevia like I usually do since there flavor wasn't horrible. Just like a bland tea with something in it.The next product you have to take is the Detox tincture. That sucker is STRONG! The instructions recommend to add a little grape juice or another strong flavor juice. I only had straight cranberry juice and let me tell you, that sucker was potent! You could've made a meme out of the look on my face after taking that stuff. Then I realized it has to be taken 5 times a day. I was like, "what?!" Then I found unsweetened black cherry juice & that really made it drinkable. I also added water to it, too, so it went down easier.After the 5 days I felt really well. The pain in my kidneys went away, I slept better and felt pretty good. I would recommend this product to anyone who feels they need a good kidney detox (as long as you don't have any serious health conditions. Check with your doctor, of course). I would also recommend that you purchase this kit about a week before you plan on doing it so that you can decide which detox plan you want to go for (beginner where you eat clean, intermediate where you eat a vegan diet or advanced where you eat vegan & do a 3 day juice fast) and can shop for the ingredients.All in all, I would do this again. Next year, maybe?

One should realize before taking these herbal concoctions that the reviews discussing strong emotional responses, irritability, etc. are not from release of toxins but from the herbs themselves. While the kidney detoxifying aspects of these herbs are questionable, I can say with certainty these herbs have these effects (I assume some by design, some as side effects): diuretic/laxative, appetite suppressant, and causing both insomnia and soporific effects at the same time. I can say I woke up several times during the night when taking these herbs as prescribed but yet felt exhausted and then groggy the next day. The effects get compounded over the 5 day period. I also had a little restless leg syndrome effects and what could be called a hollow edginess. Along with the radical change in diet (if taking on the more advanced detox challenge), significant physical and emotional effects are expected. Again, this is all from the herbal concoctions, not from toxins being released.In my opinion, the most effective part of the cleansing program is the "kidney flush" first thing in the morning, which involves juice from a lemon and lime in 20 oz water with an addition of their cayenne and hot pepper elixir. I also add fresh ginger and raw cranberry juice. Drink quickly then wait at least 20 min before eating anything. It is effective and you can do at home without buying expensive concoctions of herbs of questionable benefit.

Was sceptical, but gave it a try.. After a week any discomfort I had before went away...It seems that every item Dr. Schulze's produce's is out of the ballpark...You must try some of his other products...
