Alice Cooper, No More Mr. Nice Guy Live (Alexandra Palace) This must hear double-album was captured live at Alice Cooper's sold-out Halloween performance last year at London's historic Alexandra Palace. Selections span the singer's four amazing decades of success.

If you saw the concert tour, get the CDs
Some have complained the production of the CDs aren't as solid as some of the previous live concert albums. That is clearly true. They aren't. That said, I saw this tour three times, and after purchasing the collection, I'm okay with the quality of the CDs. It's fine enough for me to sing each tune as they come on. And that probably is the definition of a good CD set if I ever heard one. Yeah, I probably won't listen to this collection as much as Theater of Pain or Brutal Planet, but it's not like this CD is going to go collect dust bunnies with the CDs I haven't listened to in the last five years. It's Cooper and it's a tour I saw three times!!! It's going to be a quality addition to my collection and it will hit the rotation plenty enough to make it well worth the purchase. I'm sure it'll remain as my primary car CD for at least another week as well.Oh, and a neat twist for those who didn't see the tour. During it, of course, School's Out was played. However, it was mixed with a little "Brick in the Wall" as well, and it was cool to hear that live version of School's Out on here. Essentially, I wanted this to hear that version somewhere, to hear Clones live again, to hear I'll Bite Your Face Off live again and The Black Widow. For some reason I really liked how The Black Widow came out in concert during this tour. Love the live version of it on the Welcome 2 My NIghtmare album (a bonus song for many of us), and it's not as nice on this CD, but I still enjoy it. Also, Halo of Flies is included in the mix. So while there are many of the staple songs, there are still some new ones thrown in the mix as well. It's a good mix of songs.Oh, and what has been said about the "bonus" song - Fire - is true. It's terrible. The three concerts I went to "Elected" was the last song, and I don't feel like I missed anything not hearing "Fire."

Great performance
Taken from the NMMNG Tour, this is a really good set list. Are there tracks I wish he would have done? Of course. Do we really need another live version of "Poison" or "18"? Not really. But for what it is, this is a fun and worthwhile album. I saw him less than a month after it was recorded and the show was stellar. The downsides, other than some glaring omissions of other classic songs, are two: First, the sound quality isn't nearly as good as prior live efforts, such as the last live DVD, "Theatre of Death". To me, it sounds like a soundboard recording. The audience is back in the mix, and at certain points some guitars sound more like background playing, rather than being higher in the mix, as a proper Alice show has them. But! Don't let that be a turn-off. It's not bad sounding, it's just not loud enough.Second, the dreadful version of "Fire" - this is not Alice's cover of the Hendrix classic that he recorded in the 90s. Alice brought Arthur Brown onstage to do his tribute to pyromaniacs. Brown's voice sounds terrible, at best. Thankfully it's the last track on the second CD and easy to skip.Again, though, this is a killer live album. "Brutal Planet" is heavy and, well, BRUTAL. The extended "Halo of Flies" is done perfectly, and the other tracks sound really good. The band, lead by one of Alice's old cohorts, Steve Hunter, is on top of its collective game. And Alice's voice is rough, as we like it, but much more in tune and listenable than "Theatre of Death", where he seemed to shout everything and lost track of the melody on many tunes. My advice is to buy this immediately.

Heavy Alice....
Disc 1 starts off with great live versions of "Brutal Planet" and "Eighteen". The band sounds heavier than usual, a stripped down garage band sound, and Cooper's voice is holding up pretty well! I wasn't sure whether I wanted yet another live Alice Cooper show, but there are a lot of songs that haven't been on the setlist for a long time. "Mr. Nice Guy" is raw and punchy with clean LOUD guitar. "Hey Stoopid" - from 1990 or so, haven't heard this one in a while An energetic "Is It My Body", then an oldie not often played - "Halo of Flies" with the whole song - guitar jam and all. WOW! Disc 2 opens with the new single, "I'll Bit Your Face Off" - a new classic Cooper song, followed up with "Muscle of Love" is here, along with some other welcome old ones, like "Clones" (really? Cool!) :), "Poison" and "I Love the Dead" "Schools Out" - of course, and "Elected" Overall, a good addition for Cooperphiles, or anybody who would like to hear what the band sounds like these days.

Poor sound quality for an official release...
I have been a huge fan of Alice Cooper for many, many years, and I wish I could say this was a brilliant album. The setlist is okay, and it's really great to see "Muscle of Love" and "Clones" make an appearance, but they' too, are marred by the sound quality of this release. To me, it sounds like it's a bootleg taken from the soundboard, and not mixed very well at that. The bass notes are way too overpowering and distract from the songs. On the performance side, Alice sounds a little rough here... often like he's shouting rather than following the melody. There are some good things about this release, but overall it is average, and I would not recommend it for anybody except completest-type fans.

Alice Cooper is one of my favorite Musicians ever
I'm a little biased, Alice Cooper is one of my favorite Musicians ever...and I have seen this specific tour while he was playing in St.Louis. Alice Cooper gets a little better each year he plays in my opinion, the voice gets more raspy, and the tone gets a little heavier each time. If you're a fan of alice this is a must have.

great show - No liner notes or pictures
A great show and set list. Sounds great. Nice to have a live version of Clones which sounds great with guitars turned up. A negative is that there are no liner notes, no mention of who the current band members are and no pictures from the tour. A little more effort here would have been nice.

Interesting piece
What I like about it? It sounds great, it includes a pretty nice selection and it includes the entire concert... including drum solo which usually bands would exclude for some weird reason. The third MP3 item is added value, it's funny. What I dont like about it... no booklet?

One of the better albums
This is personally one of the best albums of Alice Cooper. His live shows are sublime and have a story in it.
