Our ice maker is on the fritz, so as a temporary solution, we got these based on a review in the NYTimes. They are easy to fill, and the cubes pop out completely into the holding bin. The sliding cover is nice and I hope they won't crack. We can stack these in the freezer easily. Price is fair. We like 'em!

I *love* these! I'll be getting more of these brilliant ice trays. How much do I love them? I gathered ALL of my other ice trays & gave them away! The lid slides on relatively easily, allows easy stacking in the freezer. Once the ice cubes are frozen, you can then stash them at any angle and the ice cubes won't fall out. When you want ice cubes, just slide the lid back to expose as many as you want. The individual "wells" are semi-circular and so the "cubes" are easier to nudge out of the tray than rectangular cubes. Because of the shape, the tray would also be easy to wash, and the back is easy to rinse off also (not so for some of the ones I washed off before giving them away!). Another win for OXO. *** Half a year later, everything I said above is still true, and I still find them very easy to make, use & store ice cubes. My only add'l comment is that they take up more room in the freezer than a more conventional ice cube tray, per amount of ice made. Not a complaint, just something to be aware of.

Love these ice trays! They have a super smart design and I love the cover so other things can stack on top of them in the fridge and once it's frozen they don't have to lay flat. The only downside is if you fill the trays too full, have it freeze on an angle, or get water on the inside of the cover, the cover can attach to the ice cubes inside making it hard to slide off the first time. But really it's not a big deal. Love how easy the ice cubes are to get out with the curved bottom. It's about time someone made them like this! I bought them to try filling my ice dispenser with. I figured since they were the same shape they would work the best. I haven't tried that yet since we haven't had a need for lots of ice for entertaining with COVID, but I don't see why it wouldn't work (we wanted to make ice cubes from our filtered ionized water instead of using the waterline).

My husband says we should never leave five-star reviews, because nothing is perfect. These trays, however, come close. I have no problem with the tops; they are easy to remove. The ice pops out after I twist the trays, and it is always clean and fresh. There is no fighting with metal trays, spreading ice shards all over the counter or floor. I am very impressed. I can't imagine why others seem to have some problems. I think these are an excellent product, and I may get more and give as housewarming gifts.

These are the best Ice Cube trays that I have ever used. They fill easily enough and then are covered so that foreign things don't end up in your ice and more importantly so that they can be stacked. However, my favorite feature is the ease at which all of the cubes just release from the ice tray when you are ready to use them. You can remove a few or all with a small twist of the tray. The secret is the smooth surface of the tray compartments which prevent the cubes from adhering to the tray's surface (no more banging or holding the tray under hot water). The tray is easy to clean with warm water and ready to reuse again. We keep three trays stacked in our freezer and bring the most frozen to the top while allowing the bottom newly filled tray to freeze. These trays are so easy to use that you won't be sorry to have it as an addition to your freezer.

I thought....how much better than regular ice cube trays could these be? I thought....no ice cube tray could really make it easy to get ice cubes out the tray without feeling like you're breaking the entire plastic contraption. I was wrong.One quick little snap, and most of the ice cubes some out very easily. If they don't, all you have to do is press firmly with your thumb on one side of the ice cube and it will pop out 100% of the time. And, the lids are a very nice feature. They actually work as they are supposed to...they make it easy to transport the trays from the sink to the freezer without spilling and make it easy to stack the trays. They also make it easy to dump out exactly how many ice cubes you want.Time and again, OXO takes everyday kitchen items and just makes them a little better. It's like they find the very thing that pisses me off about general kitchen items not working well and just find a way to fix it. Love this brand.

I was excited to find ice cube trays with covered lids. I ordered two sets. They easily and securely stack well. Covers and trays are well made, not flimsy at all. The cover slides on and off easily. The ice cube size and quantity is just right for me. The cubes loosen nicely to be taken out and do not break or chip! Worth every penny says the happy purchaser 😊 Thank you.

I guess if you have trouble opening lids and are extremely arthritic these can work because the ice pops out on one side and you don’t need to twist the tray to break them out. The lids are child proof I guess so you can use them for multiple purposes - herbs/beverages. The plastic is not environmentally friendly or sustainable so I gave it three stars. Bought so many silicone ones that I thought would work but all they do is smell and make the ice taste nasty.

The lid slows down evaporation of ice in self defrosting freezers and allows you to stack before frozen. Good sized cubes too.

I like the fact that these trays have lids. To remove the lids, you slide them off. Because of this, if you don't keep the trays perfectly flat while freezing, the water runs to one side and sticks to the lids and then you have a heck of a time getting the lids off . Because of the shape of the individual cube trays, the cubes are very easy to remove by pushing on one end of them. The ice cubes are rather small, though.

These are very convenient ice trays. Easily stackable. Nice cube shape and size. Cubes come out easily without splitting. Take less room then standard trays. Keeps your cubes clean and fresh.

These ice holders are just ok.I like that they don’t spill and I can stack them.Removing the ice cubes is a challenge.Usually a little twist to the tray and ice cubes pop up.I have to let the tray sit out for a few minutes before attempting to remove ice cubes.It’s a great concept, just not worth the struggle.
