If It's Not Funny It's Art

This book is typical Demetri Martin. Martin has a very unique perspective on things. He must be the love child of Steven Wright (if Wright mated with an alternative gender version of himself somewhere in the space/time continuum). It is droll, dry & occasionally laugh-out-funny. If you liked his last 2 books then you'll certainly like this one as well. This book takes takes about 15 minutes to look at --reading is not much required because there are not many words in this book.

Demetri Martin is one funny dude. I didn't even know he was a comedian. I discovered him through his funny drawings. I highly recommend this book and his other books for anyone that appreciates creativity and humor. I've bought his books many times for gifts. Nate Williams (n8w)

This is quintessential Demetri - the book has his humor and perspective condensed in to (mostly) single page illustrations. It is entertaining but for only as long as a glance - it is a good glance though. I will say I prefer the previous book over this one but they have a similar feel. Great as a coffee table book or for when boredom strikes!

Demetri's drawings are spot on! He can say so much with just a few ink lines! Quick read of course, but then makes a great coffee table book for guests. Highly recommend ALL of Demetri's books.

Really enjoyed the book (even had to ask a friend to help me understand a couple of the drawings- fifth star for the puzzle bonus!). Reminded me of one of my favorite comics as a kid, The Far Side. Was one of the first people to order and received my signed doodle as promised a few days later. Best $10 I've spent in a long time. Thanks, Demetri!

From the fevered mind of Demetri Martin, more drawings that will either make you laugh, smile, or just scratch your head and wonder "WTF?!?". Can't wait for his upcoming book of short stories to see where his fevered dreams take us next.

Demetri Martin is probably my favorite comedian. I pre-ordered this book without hesitation--I'm happy to support his work. He had some good drawings/observations here, but I've seen him create much funnier, insightful material for his standup and the show he had a few years ago (where I think he used the skull and crossbones guy). If you're not familiar with Demetri's other books check them out--you're in for a treat. Thanks, Demetri

But it ended too soon! His humor is in line with mine so a lot of laughs. Go Demitri! It’s worth a look.
