Really nice looking stand. Good fit and finish. Easy to assemble. Even comes with the wrench you need.

I love this stand. It is well-made and artfully attractive. But mostly, I love its functionality-I can easily pick up my guitar and quickly run through a music idea that has found its way into my awareness.

Keep your guitar close to play. Protect it from falling over from poorly designed stands that cradle the guitar body. This design allows your guitar to hang down, like a wall mount, toward a perfectly balanced floor stand. On top it that, it looks great too.

The guitar stand is well made. It looks good enough to be displayed in the main living area with the guitar on it. This allows you access to the guitar for practice more readily and discourages the reasons used for not practicing.

Here is what I like about this stand: (1) It is plenty sturdy. (2) it is really a nice size - not too big, not too small. I use the stand for my Martin HD28, which is a full size acoustic guitar. If the stand were any shorter, the guitar would hit the bottom of the stand - that would not be good. As it is, the guitar hangs nicely and securely in the stand. (3) I like the fact that it is made of hardwood. (4) I like that all the hardware and tools supplied are of good quality. (5) The stand is packed securely so there was no damage in shipping.Here is what I don't like: (1) As you can see from the photos, the base is stained a different color from the tall, upright part. The upright part is a rich looking walnut stain. From the Ad on Amazon, you can see that both the upright and the base are supposed to have a rich, deep stain. Clearly what I received is inferior to the photos of the product shown on Amazon. This makes me unhappy. (2) The assembly isn't "5 Minutes Quick Assemble" like the Ad says. Here's what I experienced - "out of the box," the upright part of the stand didn't fit into the routed opening in the base. The routed opening was about 1/32 of an inch too small to allow the upright part to seat deeply and securely into the base. So I had to use some of my woodworking skills and tools to gently enlarge the opening. Once I did so, the upright part seated correctly into the base, and I was able to install the supplied bolts, using the supplied Allen wrench, to finish the assembly. It took me about 10-15 minutes to assemble the stand.Once assembled, it looks great in my office. I don't really notice the two different shades of walnut stain when my guitar is hanging on the stand. So, I can live with it, even thought it isn't exactly as advertised. Once the weather gets a little nicer, I plan to re-stain the base with a deeper walnut, so the base and the upright part will look the same.

The stand itself is great and will be much more gentle on my guitar. However, it really bothers me when items arrive without all the parts. Especially when there are only 5 parts. One of the bolts are missing. The hassle is either returning the item or looking for a bolt. These bolts are not the kind you would easily find in a hardware store and they are essential when you are hanging an expensive instrument. The bolts are specific for the device which is why it’s annoying and inconvenient. I see this as a reflection on the quality of the seller.
