Are these hard candies or chews?

They are not hard candies. And while they are not very soft they are chews and they are delicious !!!

I bought these but received the orange flavor in error. i want to get the just ginger. can you guarantee that?

I received the wrong item as well, but got the issue resolved. If you click on Help at the bottom of Amazon's page (on the right), it will start a Bot chat. You'll have to go through about 5 or 6 rounds before you're offered a real person to chat with. The Bot gets hung up on the fact it's food, and can't get returned.

Approximately how many pieces are there?

About 150-it’s pretty full package.

Are these the chews or hard

They are in between not real hard and soft...kinda like Jolly ranchers.
