The box is just the thing I was looking for to keep glasses, small remote controls, keys and random things cleanly out of sight in the living room. The magnets that hold the top on are very strong, to the point that it makes opening it a two handed job. I went to the hardware store and bought two small hinges and a small knob so I can open it more simply. The goal was to tidy up and keep things from becoming instant chew toys for a new puppy. So far so good.

I wish this was made a little bigger. I got it for my husbands shoe shine kit. It is nice cause it has a lid that is used as a tray to put stuff, and stores the polish and brushes, etc. got another box (different brand) to hold the rags per box was not big enough. Liked the box enough to keep it… per lid tray etc… but if I only had one bigger box with same features, then it would of been perfect.

This was an interesting box. It's a bit unfinished, so you probably are going to want to stain or gloss it or something. I ended up painting a design on it. The "metal case" that comes in it surprised me, it's actually a small cigarette case, I guess they're not wanting to advertise it for that - I'm assuming they are picturing people using this case for their medicinal herb products. I got it to use a Reiki box, and it works nicely for that. It's a solid wood box, and nice that the top can also be flipped over and used as a tray, and the magnets are a nice addition.

Decent little box, looks good on the coffee table. My only gripe is that it is stained but not finished, so I expect it not to last for a long time.

This is a well-crafted box and it looks and feels like real wood! The wood grain and details are prominent with dark streaks in it so it looks like burnt wood — it looks expensive. The box has a good weight to it, not overly light or heavy. It's sturdy and doesn't feel like it's going to fall apart. The box is smooth when you run your hand across it. It's a large box with room to store a lot of different things. The middle piece is a nice divider, but it can also be removed in order to store larger items. This box closes with 4 magnetic dots which works well enough, though I would have preferred a hinge closure. It did come with a surprise gift, a cigarette case. I don't smoke, but I can use it for storage. Overall, I am happy with this purchase as this box is versatile and would look great on a living room coffee table, foyer table, office, or on a bedroom nightstand. Good price and I would recommend!!

I purchased the box without any kind of stain so personally, I think mine looks great. I got it with intentions to paint it in the future! The magnets on the lid are strong and very helpful! It took me a bit of wiggling to get the divider out because I did not need it at all. The lid flips over and nests in to the box which is perfection! Great little stash box for the flower!

I read a lot of golden age mysteries, so I recognized the gift as a cigarette case. You know, the ones the detective pulls out of his pocket so he can suavely offer a cigarette to the client.That made me giggle. I don't know what I'm going to use it for since I'm a lifelong non-smoker, but I'm going to figure something out.Anyway, this box is really pretty. It's smooth, but I don't think it's been lacquered. It feels like raw wood. It's also very light. There are 4 dot magnets around the edge to hold it closed.It stunk when I opened the package, but airing it out over a couple of days made it better. I'm not sure if the box stunk or if it was the cigarette case. (That still cracks me up - it came in a little box with a label, so I know it's really a cigarette case. Who uses those anymore?) (Hmm, maybe that's why it was free.)This is large enough for remote controls or a couple of power banks and cords or something you want to keep out on a table without having to worry about the cats destroying it.
