A motorized gun to rule them all
WOW. This is the best gun I have ever used before. I didn't know it needed new batteries so it was very slow at first. But with new batteries it was almost rapid fire. I know that it has a thermister of whatever it's called. All I know about it is that it can short circuit the motor if the batteries are too powerful. But I found that energizer ultra batteries work like a charm. The gun is lightweight and the motor isn't as pound as my hera. But it needs a bigger may to be a REAL threat. A 18 darts may works dandy. But overall this almost rapid fire gun is near to the ideal nerf gun 10/100

Modern Stryfe, Modern Quality
A legendary blaster, yet it is known by modders to be quite mediocre from factory. Still, it's sufficient for my uses, I'll just replace the batteries with rechargeable NiMH for long term cost and better performance. One issue however, while it is a Stryfe, it is one built today, so quality has dipped a bit ; the attachment stoppers on the rails aren't spring loaded anymore, they're just orange bits of plastic filling in those gaps. The paint application is minimal. I've also had a few issues with quality control on mine ; the battery separators (?) (the pieces of plastic meant to separate front and rear battery in a stack) were warped. The safety mechanism that prevents the blaster from revving if no "clip" is inserted is fussy on mine, sometimes it'll work, other times I'll have to hit the bottom of my mag for it to disengage. Overall, I am pleased with my purchase, these issues are real but are not deal breaking at all.

Havent bought toys in a while but would not trust Hasbro purchases based upon their customer support
Absolute garbage. Purchased for stepchild. Product arrived, waited additional time for accessories to arrive. Installed new batteries, pulled motor trigger. No action. Pulled both the trigger and the motor trigger, no action. Replaced mew batteries with other new batteries. Same result. Contact Hasbro manufacturer support. Spent the next several minutes looking for information codes from the box exterior that are on all different sides of the box and are not identified. Hasbro customer support can not even replace it with a like item, as "they have no visibility on their own warehouse ". Told that the offer of a replacement item can not be guaranteed to be the like item which does not work as there were accessories puchased for this specific item.. Implication that they are phasing the item out, or there are known issues. Never explained. ABSOLUTE FAIL by the Hasbro company for product support EDIT After requesting a replacement went on the internet and found the magazine lock is a known issue. CSR should have been provided notes on the operation of the item and the known issue that could have been resolved by reseating the mod with considerable force. Many mods and or workarounds are available. Shame that Hasbro doesn't train their CSRs to think and not only read. If I reorder it, it will probably have the same issue, so I will join the modder crowd...

Awesomely powerful flywheel blaster
Pretty medium-weight blaster that shoots far. This blaster is very awesome and can topple cup towers with ease. If you take the blaster and hit it against something (ex: a stuffed animal) the grip has a chance of flying off but you can reattach it and everything else is pretty durable. The price is really good for this blaster as well. The only problem (hence the 4 star rating) is that the battery cover needs a very specific screwdriver or else the screw gets stripped and its frustrating to get it off. That probably won't be a worry since the battery life on these blasters are amazingly long! Anyways overall, love this blaster and a definite recommend for kids and adults alike.

it was good but...
when it first arrived it worked fine, but after like five days i was using it and out of nowhere it just had shut down. I tried everything from: replacing the batteries, to: dis assembling it to see what was wrong and tried to fix it. and it did not work. I know that this nerf was good, i have a friend who has one and it has not broken down, maybe it was a defective unit or something.

Incredible blaster that is getting much harder to find
I bought my first blue Nerf Stryfe back when I was a teenager and I absolutely loved in. I have very fond memories of wiring in a 9 volt rc car battery, taping it to the side of the blaster, trading some nerf equipment to a local neighbor kid for his 35 round drum magazine, and going to town with neighborhood nerf wars. My blaster always scared them, because it hurt like heck when it hit them! I recently got back on a bit of a nerf kick and wanted to relive the awesome Stryfe again, however, they are much harder to find now. A seller on here is (at the time of posting) selling an orange model for $59.99! Way above the MSRP of this blaster. New blue ones are near impossible to find, so I had to go with this Modulus version. I literally just received the blaster today, to see that Amazon JUST labeled this blaster as "Currently Unavailable", which is very sad. Hopefully this is temporary, but I have a bad feeling it isn't. Interestingly, a lot of these reviews are complaining how Nerf didn't continue the green striping on both sides of the blasters however, mine does for some reason? I mean, I'll take it. I am not complaining! I love this blaster. It is easily my favorite Nerf item I have ever purchased, and it truly disappoints me that Nerf is leaving the Elite series behind, creating "Elite 2.0" which isn't even that great, and focusing on Fortnite blasters. I miss the Nerf I had as a kid. This Stryfe brings me back to that time period.

Mildly disappointing
Maybe I'm getting old and cranky, but this is not nearly as cool as I expected it to be for the price. It's cheap plastic construction and it runs on batteries. More specifically, it won't fire *without* battery power, which is annoying. It has a safety switch under the trigger which must be engaged in order to pull the trigger, and I can't figure out what purpose that serves other than to make what should be a simple, enjoyable toy slightly more complicated. So you have to engage the safety, wait for the power up, then fire the bullet. Once you fire the bullet, it shoots awesome. High power and good distance, so it does not disappoint once you release the projectile, but it is a bit of a PITA just to fire off a bullet. Also, it's not truly rapid-fire, as in, you can't hold the trigger and the bullets fire continuously. It does fire really quickly in successive trigger pulls, but not continuously, so that's also mildly disappointing. And one other small issue is that the gun jams easily, and it refuses to even attempt to fire with a jam, so we've spent a lot of time unjamming projectiles. All in all, it's a cool-looking toy gun, but doesn't feel very cool when you're fussing with all the issues.

Great nerf gun
It’s a great nerf gun, smaller than other flywheel blasters with great performance and customisation since it is a modulus blasters. It works fine I didn’t get any problems other reviews have.

One of the best Hasbro has made
The Nerf Stryfe is by far one of the best blasters Nerf has ever put out. It comes with decent performance out of the box, and is among one of the best blasters in the Nerf community for its versatility and ease of modifying it to perform better. The number of attachment points on this blaster also allows buyers to build their blaster to suit the needs or role they would like to play during Nerf wars. It works well, but does suffer from jamming occasionally. The power output in stock form is up to elite par. Overall, it’s a really good battery powered blaster for those coming into the Nerf scene.
