We live in a two-storey house. The router and modem located on the first floor. It was a pain of the neck to work from home in the study on the second floor, since the signal was so weak and you barely got connections. After this wireless USB wifi adapter has arrived, life has changed. No more headaches, just simply plug it to the laptop, signal becomes much stronger. I will recommend this product to my friends.

Our wifi router is in the living room and far from the study room. After we plug it in, the signal is much better! Definitely recommend!

Bought it for an HP Z420 Desktop Workstation with Windows 10 Pro. Worked fine when first plugged in. However, it constantly disconnects from wireless, and will sometimes re-activate when i unplug it and plug it back in. When that fails and I try to re-install, I get a message that it is not compatible with my OS. That can't be true, as it works intermittently. It disconnects in the middle of whatever I'm doing with no warning.When I look at it in my control panel, it shows as Disabled, and it will not re-enable. Totally useless. If I can't have a dependable connection, it is not going to work. Avoid.

I ordered this USB adapter because of being plug and play. Shipping was on time, but when connected to USB, the computer wont recognize the adapter, so i move on to installing the driver from the cd included in the package. Installation had no issues, but when i restart the computer, the computer cant boot up windows. So after spending days in looking for different problems during the process of just fixing the windows startup, i ended up installing windows from scratch, since it was the only way to bring back the computer. If youre not tech savy, i dont recommend buying this, since you will end up paying a lot for fixing your computer

LINUX USERS READ: This product might be a hassle to get working.... BUT we can make this work. If you got an Error message along the lines of "macro "__TIME__" might prevent reproducible builds [-Werror=date-time]cc1: some warnings being treated as errors." while compiling please add: EXTRA_CFLAGS += -Wno-error=date-time. to the makefile inside the drivers folder. After getting around the errors in the makefile this device was working

I did not have high hopes for this little, inexpensive unit, but I have been overwhelmed. My desktop computer has built in wi-fi, and it seemed to connect okay to my wireless house modem. But the speed went from 50 mbps to 110 mbps once I plugged this Yotec into a 3.0 USB jack. (You will benefit the most if you use the best USB port you've got.)It's a somewhat flimsy unit, but on the back of my computer it's never going to get moved or bumped. It's fantastic.

used on server and does well. what i need is a TV ac adapter that doesn't need update

So far so good. I've purchased 2 of these, one for an Android base TV box (no drivers needed), and one for a Win 8.1 Pro system (drivers needed). My Android box is connecting @867Mbs and the Windows system ( slightly further away) is connecting @300Mbs.
