Entrepreneurial Fantasy vs. Reality - an Empathy-Driven Roadmap to Choose True Success
From an eerie parking lot filled with zombie entrepreneurs (what Mark Cuban of Shark Tank calls "Want-repreneurs") this tale cuts to the heart of mindset flaws which cost millions of ambitious people everything.Yes we have the power to dream, to "attract", to visualize, to create mentally in advance. But for so many of us we use that power to fantasize about living a live of comfort and ease - instead of visualizing the next step, solutions for the next obstacle, and the intrinsic rewards of serving others and growing into our best self. This book cuts right to the heart of fantasy versus proactive visualization. This book has literally changed my trajectory as a business builder. It corrects the flaw of "The Secret" and "Law Of Attraction (/ Inaction)" by focusing us back on grit, growth mindset, and using the power of visualization as much to anticipate and overcome obstacles. It validates and honors this power of visualization more than The Secret - by bringing us back into a closer reality. The joy of achievement in the real world and applying visualization to actual challenges instead of blind fantasy. This book is written in a "fable" / story style, much like many of Patrick Lencioni's books. The 2-person perspective was unique - at times distracting (who is "we" anyway), at other times I just absorbed the story. I usually prefer straight principles and business information rather than a storyline and this was much more engaging. The only way I found this book was by listening to a podcasting interview with the author Dave Blanchard - which was so compelling that I found this book among his other works and realized this would be the one to most closely track with the content of the interview. Without this frame of reference I never would have found it or engaged so deeply. My suggestion would be to re-brand the book in a much more compelling way so that millions of other lifestyle entrepreneurs do not overlook the transformative power that comes when we use visualization to tackle the next challenge/obstacle and embrace grit and growth mindsets - instead of fantasizing about living on a beach somewhere.

Perfect timing,
Each year I choose a personal word and personal theme for the year. This year I chose “equanimity”. Then I choose a book to kick off the theme. This book popped up and little did I know that it would have such a profound impact on my life. The climb brought awareness and enlightened me on my journey in life. I would highly recommend to any one thinking about making their dreams reality.

Unbelievably compelling, helpful, and inspiring!
As a business owner, I felt like this book was reading me.First, I love how it's presented, in story/parable format. That's totally how my mind works and it kept me engaged.Second, I love how seamlessly it points the reader toward their flagship offer: The Habit Finder. I get that will turn people off – but it's a seriously helpful (and free) tool. I loved that.Third, it's beautifully written and incredibly insightful. I found myself nodding, highlighting, scribbling notes, and even re-reading sections out loud. Can't recommend highly enough.

This is the best, most real book on entrepreneurship I have ever ...
This is the best, most real book on entrepreneurship I have ever read. The "journey" is broken down into the steps we need to follow. Rather than entrepreneurial stories and theory.

Learned a lot, but did t want to be left in a seminar room!
Great read, and learned a lot, tho a story written to sell a follow up training programme. Assessment was very interesting and am curious as to how it can be that accurate. Disappointed to be left with a dream and a seminar room, but guess the point is we have to create the story for ourselves and the mountain climb happens outside of a personal development book or seminar programme.
