Great shoe.
I am a long time runner and had been using the same model of shoe for many (12) years. Recently they made changes to the shoe, that caused me to become injured so I had to go out looking for a different shoe that would work for me.I have very high arched feet and wear orthotics so I needed a shoe with a high enough heel counter to not rub and irritate my achilles. I did not need a lot of motion control because the orthotics take care of that. I also wanted a medium amount of cushioning. The Saucony Triumph 9 shoe fit the bill perfectly. It is comfortable right out of the box.It seems like just the right amount of shoe for me and my orthotics. An added bonus is that it is lighter than my previous shoe which is great for those longer runs. I have been wearing them for almost 2 months now and I love them.

One comfortable shoe
The Triumph 9 is a very comfortable shoe, it has plenty of cushion to absorb jolts and bumps, it begins to mold itself to your foot almost immediately making it even more comfortable. I ordered the silver/navy/citron because I really like the "fluorescent" green citron which makes the shoe highly visible in sunlight and with plenty of toe and heel reflective areas, easily seen at night. They have an 8mm offset (heel to toe) and is setup for a neutral gait. The shoe fits true to size but does have a roomier toe box so if your feet are on the narrow end of normal you may find the fit a little loose there. I have used them for daily activities (mostly walking) and have only had them for a week, so only time will tell how well they hold up but they appear to be well made so I don't anticipate any problems. I have not run any significant distance in them so I can't speak to how well they will do as "runners" but if you are looking for a good comfortable shoe to "knock around in" I can definitely recommend the Saucony Triumph 9.

Best running shoes i have ever had
As a 24 year veteran of the U.S. Army, i have had plenty of running shoes over the years, but i can honestly say that these shoes are the best that I have ever had. I am currently in Afghanistan and needed a new pair of running shoes and the pickings here were slim so I was forced to buy some online for the 1st time ever. I did alot of research before making my choice and a runner's magazine named these shoes as the best for Male runners over 170 lbs (i am 6ft tall 190). Being that i suffer from flat feet and wear arch supports in my military boots, I was definitely careful in making my choice in shoes, but these were advertised so well and the product description, on and off Amazon, seemed to speak directly to me. I received these shoes sooner than expected and they were exactly as advertised. These were my first pair of Saucony's, but they wont be my last. Very light, very comfortable and very durable.

quite impressed
the quality of these shoes feel very well are quite light and airy, the softness of the area of the metatarsals is quite noticeable, I have wide feet and I are very comfortable, unfortunately I can not comment yet on how long or comfort in training of over 15 miles, in a month I update this review and let me tell you how it goes with these shoesedited 12-1-2012Well, after using them a bit more I do not understand why so many people talking bad things about this sneaker, comfortable, fit well in the foot (at least in mine, we must remember that not all are equal, that is normal, high arch and slightly wide forefoot) ... are soft in the forefoot but not too much and the shoe laces do not bother at all, and most importantly not untie ... not have been hot spots or blisters, one thing that bothers me to read so many negative reviews are people who says he comes from a saucony omni (shoes with enough support) or any other support or control shoe and say bad things about these neutral shoes, I am neutral and my running technique is midfoot strike, no strange sounds (clop-clop) nothing really .. I hope you serve something my opinion and people who like to run many miles and are truly neutral, that need cushioning in the midfoot or forefoot should give it a try these shoes

Excellent Shoe for the Right Type of Runner
These shoes are excellent for heavier runners with a neutral gait and a midfoot strike who do not need much stability. If you don't fit this criteria, these are probably not for you, but if you do, like me, they are phenomenal. I don't use them for anything other than running, as walking isn't that comfortable (since these aren't made for heel striking) and the lack of stability makes them unsuitable for lateral movement. But for running straight, they are awesome.Prior to these I had the Brooks Glycerin 8, which were extremely durable and well cushioned, but had a toebox that was too cramped for me. I still put over 500 miles on them, but theTriumph 9 has a much roomier toebox and is just as comfortable.

Nice running shoe
With a running shoe, it is always best to provide a little background on the runner. I am in my early 50's and run (very slowly!) from 10 - 15 miles a week. I have very high arches and in the past of tended to purchase ASICS running shoes, as they fit well. After reading the reviews I decided to try the Saucony shoe. I have had the shoe for a couple of weeks now and so far, so good. The shoe is light and comfortable and I have had no issues with any of my runs. While I like the shoe I have noticed that the heel is smaller than some of my past running shoes and the arch support not quite as high as I would like; but again I have very, very high arches. Other than that, it is a great shoe and I am happy with the purchase.

Great Long Distance Shoe
I have purchased several other pairs of Saucony shoes and after a brief foray into Nike, I have come back. I use the Kinvara 3 for shorter runs and speed workouts, but I need a little more padding for runs in the 8+ mile range. These are comfortable without being to loose. I have a normal arch and tend to push off of my big toes and these accomodate my running style well.Pros-Well padded in heel and forefoot-Spacious without being too loose-Very cost effective and durableCons-Like most padded shoes, the sole gets worn down rather quickly
