Better Than Suture. Way Better.
I mean who wants to learn that [caution: F-Bomb] surgeon's knot, anyway?? And now try it when the patient is moving. Or the vehicle (pickup bed) you're riding in is. On an unimproved (read: bumpy dirt) highway. In a "conflict zone". At 55 MPH. To get away from the hostile fire. And NOW you know why medical staplers are waaaayyyyy better than [caution: F-Bomb] suture. They should teach THAT course in med school. ...these MSF docs who come out to these field hospitals are sooooo underprepared. Man, the stories I could tell...Annnd, this one comes with the remover thingy, too. Bonus! Now where'd all the staples go? Needs refills already? [caution: F-Bomb]These things are so easy to handle, my friend's (SOCOM buddy's) 8-yo stapled himself up after a short climbing fall. No broken bones, just broken skin. One downside- this does not come a "Rub Some Dirt On It" patch. It should. It really should.

It works
My dog had a sebaceous cyst on her back that I wanted to remove. I don't know how to suture, so I bought a skin stapler. After eight days, I used this to remove her staples. Well.....I let my husband do it, so he would feel involved. Without instruction, he easily removed her staples. She wagged her tail the whole time. When I first opened it, I thought it was rather flimsy, I'm use to using the ones my ER supplied. But hey, the cost was great, it did the job, and I'm going to save it for the next time, if there is one.

Keep in your Dog Bag
You never know when you are going to need to stitch up your dog while out on a hunt. This is what you need. Just keep it in your dog bag. It's easy to use and will save you money at the vet.

ALWAYS keep one on hand.
Sterile packaging, easy to use. Ive stapled our dog up before we got into vet the vet said it was as good as she could have done.Over a muscle. a long but clean wound. Don’t be all nervous, and crying. the animal needs you confident. i always have rubber gloves so i used them. She was pretty beat up from coyotes we think, my husband had bathed her so we could find all the wounds. That was imperative! Not all wounds can be stapled or even stiched, loose or shredded skin just needs to be kept clean.

A must need for every home medical kit!
For those who can't afford to pay more for healthcare than they do for their mortgage! Faster than sutures, easy to remove. Be your own doctor or even fix your friends! Some of you may say "What kind of person would staple his friend or coworker back together with iodine and a staple kit"? But maybe the question you should be asking is "How can Canadians be so much smarter than America because they have had this problem figured out for years"! How could our own elected officials let the pharmaceutical companies peddle pills and the healthcare providers rape our wallets? I guess we will never know.

Great for dogs and people
We bought this to have on hand as we do a lot of hiking with our dog. As a vet tech, we used these staplers to close up torn or cut foot pads as it is one of the only things that will keep foot pads closed. A nice tool to have in case of an emergency. You must clean any area really well so you are not closing in dirt or bacteria. I like that the remover was included as well.

not heavy grade, will do in a pinch
wish they were a little better made, but they will serve the purpose...anyone whos had surgery with staples to close the wound knows those staples are a pain to remove, this make it easier..
