WOW! What a driver!
I really love this impact driver. In the past, I've alway been scared of stripping out sheet metal screws on smaller screws in thin sheet metal. With this driver, there's a really good ability to customize both the torque and the performance of the driver. If you're driving a really long coated screw in wood, it will start off slow (to minimize stripping) and then increase speed as it impacts. Driving a #8 in sheet metal? Put the torque down to low, and select T1 so that it barely impacts and stops soon after. Switching between them? Use the Quick shift mode.Quick Shift is sorta like the "recall" button on your old TV. Want to switch quick between two modes? Just program your "preferred" as the quick programmed mode. Now select your other mode. When you hit the Quick Shift it will go to your preferred, hit it again, and it goes back the last mode you had selected. The buttons might be a bit confusing at the very first. Just first hit the button for what you're changing. If you want to change the torque, hit the torque config button first, and then select 1,2, 3 or 4 for your setting. If you want to change smart mode, hit the "A" button first. The quick clip for your tool belt can also be put on either side of the tool, which is a nice touch. The driver has a great light I wish all drivers came with. It comes on and stays on when you release the trigger. Put the driver in "Neutral" (middle position for the clockwise/counter clock wise selector) and hit the trigger, and now you have a flashlight that will stay on until you hit the trigger or move the direction selector. I think it says it will stay on up to an hour. Will you use this as a dedicated flashlight? Prob not but it's always great to have options. Kudos to the product development team that thought of this and made it happen. The unit has great torque and the size. The only cons is the battery charger doesn't have holes in the base to wall mount the charger. Speaking of the charger, it's odd to have a fan come on when I charge, and the chart on the front of it just seems really "busy." Not a big deal, just little nit noid gripes. Not sure how I got a cool flashlight feature but no one thought, "Hey people will prob want to hang their charger."

Excellent impact driver kit
I’m very impressed with the Makita impact driver kit. I highly recommend reading the manual that comes with the kit. Sure, I own a bunch of drills, but nothing that allows you to, “change the application mode”. There’s so many extra features associated with this impact driver such as: overload protection, overheat protection that automatically blinks the light, control over the light being on/off while in operation, flashlight mode, application mode, quick mode-switching button, changing the impact force, and more. The impact driver feels good in my L/XL hand and it has a good grip pattern to allow a confident grip. The buttons are easy to operate with your trigger (index) finger, except the buttons just above the battery pack, which require your other hand or putting the impact driver down. Of course the main feature of those buttons can mostly be accomplished with the quick mode-switching button that’s located just above the switch trigger and accessible with your index finger while your hand is holding the impact driver.I was also surprised by the quality of the bag that was included. It’s ~19” x 10”, has 3 exterior pockets on each side, 1 pocket on each end, handle straps, and a shoulder strap. There are no interior pockets. The battery charger is large to say the least. It also beeps at you when you put a battery into it and then proceeds to turn on an internal fan.The impact driver without battery weighs about 30 oz, and about 53 oz with a battery. There’s a belt clip included that can be attached to either side. No impact driver bits are included in this kit, which I found unusual since I’d think that Makita would want to advertise their bits. There are 2 LED lights located to the left and right of the chuck that are quite bright.I recently used the impact driver to drive in additional 3” screws while refinishing my backyard deck and my only problem was stopping the screws from going down to far into the boards (laugh).

the smallest size
The media could not be loaded. Very good quality tool. This impact drive very small but still has the same power as others famous brands. Very comfortable in use,do not take a lot space and has a lot diferent setting wich you can fast and easy switch using the same hand wich holding this impact. Very bright 2 LED (in case if you do not like LED when you using inpact you can turn off it - long press)About price, I think it's posible to find cheaper if buy it separately if you do not need bag or charger...

this thing is really impressive, truthfully and thats coming from a guy whos been red for years! the size of the driver head alone was incredible!!!! not only making it super light weight for anyone to carry even injured/disorder! plus the tiny head lets you fit into so many tight spots you couldnt have reached before. simply incredible tool, highly recommend and it looks like i might be leaning towards a new different company!!
