I have had a couple of these filters before (not from Amazon, but same filter) and was initially not sure about them due to very slow water flow, until I worked out how to use them properly in my Brita filter. Once I worked out how to use them properly, they seemed to do a very good job. Water flow is reasonable, scale is not a problem.I only recently went back to an original Brita filter, as I ran out of these Aqua Optima ones and had a spare Brita filter in the cupboard, however I now realize that the Brita filters don't last very long (my lovely glass kettle got all scaled up after a couple of weeks back on the Brita) and I think I will keep using these Aqua Optima ones from now on, they keep my kettle looking sparking and the water tastes good and makes a great cup of tea/coffee. Seem to be on a par with Brita in terms of water quality.Considering the initial cost, plus how long they seem to last, they offer very good value for money. It was also an advantage that I was able to get these delivered same day as I had no spares in the cupboard and the previous filter (brita) had suddenly gone from working to giving me cloudly water almost overnight.

Good value for money filters for the Optima Water Jug. I bought these as I was just about to run out. I use the jug and filters in my static caravan, where the water quality is often on the poor side, and had been even worse this year as the reserviours are low. (The jug is still going and also recommended). These filters work very quickly. In fact, you wonder how they could work, when compared to other filters. However, you can tell by the taste that they do indeed improve water quality.

Pleased with the filters bought for a new Brita Marella jug - perfect fit and good flow rate (not too fast - allowing the water to benefit from the filtering).No leakage and the water exiting has no unwanted taste issues - clear. I use the filters for stopping chlorine tastes and hard water scum in my teaTo work though, these filters do need the little "widget" supplied in the box.They seem very effective and good quality for under £2 a filter when you buy 12.

Worried about pollutants, mercury, effluence, bleach, sedatives, hormones, antibiotics etc in your tap water? Don’t want to carry 12 litres of spring water home from the shop? Get this. Best of both worlds. Note: you need a water purifier jug to fit this into otherwise it will splash everywhere.
